I come here regularly; however, today i was discriminated against by the ManagerLatino female Someone had spilled fluids onthe floor by the lemonade it was a significant amount which trickled onto my new boots upon realization, i stopped and got a napkin to get water to dampen the area immediately to prevent a permanent stain while bending down to soak the area, the manager come around behind me She then, in an accusatory tone says, "stop youcan"t just get stuff from the machine!" i responded, I beg your pardon?" She continues to rant on as if i had done something

I used to frequent this place years ago in Philadelphia when I was a young, broke, legal secretary who just graduated from college. It was a luxury for me to get goodies from here but I was never disappointed in the food and selections offered. Fast forward to now where I'm now in Maryland and I'm still young (but 10 times removed from young), semi-broke, event manger (career change) who is still paying loans from my college days and I came upon this location in Union Station during my travels to and from work on the Metro.
This place does still offer the same delectable treats that

Check your food before you buy it. Or you may be eating mouse droppings with you Cape Cod chips. Just picked up a bag of chips at checkout and there was a sizable hole that had been chewed in the bag. The cashier took that bag and gave me another. Checked it over and didn't realize until I was gone that there was another much smaller chewed hole in this bag. Gross.

The staff are not friendly. They have no personality. They have no paper menus, just some nasty, sticky laminated germ mat they hand you.
The staff aren't helpful, you are on you own if you don't know the menu. The pigeons are gross and annoying.
Overall, my turkey sandwich was fresh and tasty. Bread was soft and crispy...produce very fresh. I also tried the Mac and cheese, which was very good. They offer a about six specialty soups. The desserts looked good, but I didn't partake.
Two sandwiches, two small soups, two small chips, two lemonades and 32 dollars later......pricey

Ordered a chicken & avocado, and halfway through making it, the lady told me they're out of avocado. She said it as a statement without offering an alternative or asking if I wanted anything else, basically waiting on me to say "it's fine" and move on.
Seeing a bag of arugula out, I asked if I could have it in place of the avocado, got the affirmative, then ended up with some mixed lettuce after opening up my sandwich - this sounds trivial and getting romaine over arugula ain't life or death, but it'd be nice to come out with an accurate order. Still charged

I like this place. It has grown on me. With the shelves and shelves of baked goods, it's hard to not notice the goodies to brighten your day! I initially thought that the treats were blah and sugary only until I started an adventure in the world of Au Bon Pain. It was usually a chocolate cupcake, so rich and delicious to get that Chocolate fix. It moved on to the cookies which are delicious and flavorful, each to it's own merit! My favorite is the red velvet. I'm not a great fan of red velvet, but this cookie... As I looked at the danishes, bagels, cupcakes, muffins, cookies

I don't know how I am just now reviewing this ABP because I make a beeline over here every time I'm at Union Station. Compared to the Pret and LPQ that flank it, this Au Bon Pain has more hot food and a better variety of grab-and-go options. They offer a lot of different sandwich options, even early in the morning, in addition to hot soup, fresh fruit, and many different pre-packages options. Don't skip the line of bakery items along the side of the shop--the cookies are surprisingly good!

One of the first things I noticed and keep noticing, each time I visit this Au Bon Pain is that the pastries are encased in this thing with cracked fiberglass panels. I am not concerned with possible contamination. My issue is that Au Bon Pain is a chain, they really could fix that.\
The pastries themselves are uneventful at best. I would like something better to choose from; spiced breads, lemon poppy seed pound cake, cinnamon something. The powers that be can't say, "Well, those ideas are nice but not in-line with our model." Nothing in the cracked plexiglass thing looked

Located inside Union Station, this busy snack stop has everything you want. Fresh bagels - mine had egg, spinach, tomato and avocado. All kinds of hot pastries, cookies, little cakes. Excellent coffee and coffee drinks. Grab a salad to go for later in the day, yogurt, bottled water and juices ... oatmeal, hot muesli, soups .... everything.
Here is the best part: everyone who works here is kind and patient. They were so nice to me I couldn't help but respond in kind, and that gentle peacefulness stayed with me as I walked through the morning crush of people. "You come see us again,"

Bottom Line: A good spot for a beverage, baked good or pastry in Union Station.
This Au Bon Pain is almost like walking into a convenience store. There is a coffee station, a soda fountain, cases with baked goods, shelves with chips and a counter where you can order sandwiches and wraps. Perhaps all ABPs have this set up but I don't think I've been in one sine the the 1990s. I was surprised at how good the baked goods were here. They definitely tasted fresh and satisfied my nagging sweet tooth.

Surprisingly, I have never been to an Au Bon Pain even though they are a chain.
I needed a place to grab some quick affordable breakfast before a conference started for work. My coworker and I also wanted a quick refreshment after dinner and this was the place that seemed to be open and what we were looking for.
For the drink, I got the tropical green tea, and it was good! For brekkie, I got the egg white, avocado, cheese sandwich, and honestly, it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had.
The service just didn't fully deliver to give it a 5 star, but honestly, I'm

Out of all the cupcakes we tried this was by far the least favorite. But hey we had to do our research! We got the double chocolate and it was just blah and the frosting was mostly shortening flavoring. No one really liked it. We actually threw some of it away. It looked pretty and it was by far the cheapest one we bought it we won't eat their cupcakes again. Plus it was quite small compared to all the other competitors we tried

I'm a fan. If you're in a hurry and need a tasty, grab-n-go option, Au Bon Pain is your go-to-place. It's close to the trains and has anything from ready to drink beverages to coffee to pastries to a sandwich stand. The layout is a little crowded, but there are a few seats for you to enjoy your lunch/snack.
Pro-tip: The red licorice is surprisingly AMAZING!

The place really gets two thumbs up for friendly staff. Great location within Union Station and has a good selection of salads, soups, sandwiches, and wraps. You have to get lucky at times to get veggie soup tho.
Most of the service is quick - but for some hot sandwiches which can take longer. This particular day, I went for the Black Bean veggie burger with freshly sliced Avocados. Average of average I would say. I wish they would focus a bit more on good quality bread as the regular fare they use is bland and not particularly healthy. The Black Bean Patty is above average. Of course, fresh avocs
