It all began in 2003 with two friends from business school who shared a sweet tooth and a dream of baking. 15 years later, we bake all of our products on-site, filling our 1940s-style stores with the delicious smells of fresh cakes and pies to bring back that delightful, warm feeling of Grandma's kitchen.

You guys, the German Chocolate Cake is PERFECTION. I ordered a cake for my husband’s birthday and in typical Billy’s Bakery fashion is was amazing. The best part was it wasn’t overly sweet. We left the city over three years ago but occasionally return for treats from our favorite spots. RUN don’t walk to grab some of your own to try!

Ordered a red velvet cake for my nephew’s birthday. It was absolutely disgusting. The cake was dry like it was made a week ago, the frosting was so sweet it tasted like someone put in double the sugar than what the recipe calls for. The frosting was so sweet it was almost bitter. I had great experience with Billy’s bakery from Tribeca. But the cake here is horrendous. Don’t waste your money.

I give this place a 3 because the staff are usually a 4 or 5, the baked goods are usually a 2 (overpriced) and the other customers are usually a 1. Everytime I go here, I regret not going to Harbs one block up. Thier stuff is more expensive, but actually worth it! Not as many entitled doofs shopping there either.

When I am driving through the city, I pick up cupcakes from Billy’s for the family. When I got home the frosting and cake were hard on ALL my cupcakes. This is not the quality I was expecting. I called the store and got no empathetic response after dropping $56 on cupcakes 😩.
Do yourselves a favor folks and ask how long the cupcakes have been out. I could have saved myself the headache or the gentleman at the counter could have been transparent….. I will not be going back.

WHO DOESNT LOVE A GOOD SLICE OF FUNFETTI CAKE?
Funfetti cake is just perfect on so many levels. It’s sweet, colorful, soft, moist, and just delicious. Billy’s bakery has one of the best funfetti cake slices. Among their other cake flavors(crowd pleaser, carrot, chocolate, red velvet, banana), funfetti is on the top of my list. Baked with love and loaded with sprinkles this cake was definitely a game changer. And the frosting was super thick and creamy just the way it’s suppose to be. ❤️❤️
Personally, I like anything sweet and if it’s cake I’ll take it without any questions lol

I ordered a cake same day and was disappointed when I got it home, cut into it and it was completely dry. I called the next morning and they were wonderful and replaced my cake with a freshly baked cake. It was the most moist and delicious cake I’ve had in a really long time. I will absolutely be back!!

Can’t believe that after more than 4 years I have never tried Billy’s Bakery. With multiple locations around Manhattan, Billy’s has a great variety of cakes and desserts. With their Carrot Cake being the cherry on top. It’s moist, fresh, definitely home made. You can feel the walnuts, shredded carrot and a subtle hint of pinapple with a delicious (tho a bit rich) cream cheese frosting.
Looking forward to trying other desserts in their menu.

We had the chocolate with chocolate cream and the chocolate with espresso cream. Both cake slices were huge so more than enough to share a piece between 2 people. Decent price for what you are given at $7 per slice.
They were very moist and light, but dropping 1* since it lacked a *punch* of sweetness (don't get me wrong it was sweet) but I'd expect more from a cake of this type to be deeper in its flavour.
There is space to sit in and eat if you wish which is a nice added touch.
Friendly and attentive staff too!
Next time I'll go for the crowd pleaser.

To go and look at all your options for sale is just super. Large selection: muffins, pasta, biscuits, cake slices, muffins and croissant cakes, cakes, pies, etc.
There are many flavors of muffins to choose from, so it was difficult to choose. I also took a piece of peanut butter cake for my boyfriend.
All in all, I have never been disappointed with what I tried from Mia.

Love the style of this place - really feels like grandma’s kitchen. I really enjoyed the red velvet, particularly the buttercream frosting, though the cupcake itself was a little on the dry side (I was there late on a Monday night). Noticed a few other treats in the other displays that I’d like to come back to try!
