Services
The building we currently reside in was originally a small Brewpub. Operating as "The Brewery, " we sold fantastic pizzas, wings, craft beer and elevated pub fare. In December of 2018, we, as a team, decided that our passions lie in the food and not so much the beer.

We put our many heads together and came up with a concept we all agreed was much more in-line with our history, experiences and passions; Tortuga's Saltwater Grill was born and named as a nod to an old local favorite.Although we are not affiliated with the old "Tortuga Flats, " we still harbor the same love for our locals, tourists and island history, alike.
Hand-selected and fresh-ground beans from our local, artisanal roaster - Bloom City Coffee Co. Please request cream from your server. Make it traditional with Orange Juice or switch it up and choose Cranberry, Pineapple or Ruby Red Grapefruit. House biscuit / crab cake / avocado / sliced tomato / over easy eggs / hollandaise / breakfast potatoes.

Very relaxed atmosphere. We were seated immediately and a few moments later, Desiree came to take our drink order. Service was extremely fast and friendly. My husband had the fried shrimp with fries and hush puppies. His only complaint was the hush puppies weren't anything to write home about, but they were ok. He said the shrimp were excellent. I had the shrimp and grits. We both agreed that it was really good. The texture, flavors and blend of the sweetness of the corn and the little bit of heat from the poblanos was a nice mix but the bacon really raise it to a new level. We were to full to

Hands down the best meal I've ever had in my life and I am not exaggerating! I had the red snapper with Pontchartrain topping, asparagus and Risotto and it was amazing. The cucumber martini was awesome as well, very refreshing. My business partner had the seafood pasta and it was delicious, best sauce ever! We also shared both broiled and raw oysters which were so fresh and tasty! The staff and owner were all extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I highly recommend this restaurant, it is insanely good!

Absolutely wonderful. This was the second visit and there will definitely be another. My husband and I ordered something different even though it was so tempting to get the same food as last time. He had the charbroiled flounder and I got the blackened snapper. Prior to getting the entrées we tried the shrimp cocktail which were cooked perfectly and an amazing blue crab cheese dip that was delicious. Then finished the meal with their choc. spice cackle topped with candy walnuts and caramel. The cake was so warm and fresh and the cinnamon whip on the side took it to another level. The staff was

The waitress was certainly that I would love the shrimps and grits but the shrimp just wasn't cooked enough and the sauce felt like it needed a few more minutes to be fully ready to serve. My table was happy with their items and the service was really good. A charming restaurant with a varied menu.

Chef changes, & decline in food quality. Lowering previous review to 3 stars. Can be difficult to get out of the parking lot, while blinded by cars parked next to you & right on busy street. The bar tender was very welcoming & friendly. The food was excellent. I had schrimp & grits, & the grits were fried into a wedge, & the best I have ever had. My mom had the jumbo schrimp scampi, & it was excellent as well. We also had the steamed bun pork belly appetizer & it was fantastic. The Tortuga tea was good as well. Highly recommend, as it is the best restaurant I have eaten at in port a. So back for

Everything was good to great. More details…
We started with some painkillers. I’m not a big umbrella drink fan, but when on the island, why not? Those came out quickly and were well made with high quality ingredients.
Our appetizer, the poke nachos, came out well before the meal and was a nice starter. There are three big one-chip (wonton) nachos. The wontons do break under the weight of the toppings, so I recommend using a fork.
Our entrees came out shortly after, we shared two blackened shrimp salads 👌🏼 and the fried fish tacos.
We left happy and satisfied, agreeing that this one

П💥 Outstanding food,💥 💥decent service and they allow dogs on the patio.
However, the flies were out in force.
I'm sure this wasn't unusual. The owners could have bug zappers or they could install ceiling fans - something! One fly ended up in my cocktail, which is why they get docked one star. All patrons were complaining about the fly infestation. Like I said the food was delicious - just eat inside.

Absolutely lovely. We were seated quickly on the dog friendly patio. Richard, our server, was very informative and kind. We ordered the Tortuga Scampi, the catch of the day, and the fried seafood combo. Everything was scrumptious; well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The freshness of all the ingredients shone through, a needed reprieve from constant fried food. Will certainly visit again!

Lance R was our server! Amazing service! Boudin balls with the sauce was incredible to me! Such a nice flavor and kick! Oysters were small, but a lot of extras on top that make it worth it. The Korean beef was excellent and refreshing! Kind of wish the jalapeños were used in a different way for the dish. We also had the pork belly, but sadly forgot the picture. So much food with such an amazing flavor! A bit expensive, but the food and our waiter was spot on! Really glad we came here after fishing!

Great place to eat local seafood. For appetizer, we had their delicious fresh local shrimp with sauce. Also We had the fresh local drum fish with garlic butter sauce with grilled asparagus. I asked them to modify my meal to make it more keto like and they were so accommodating. They changed out the rice for more grilled asparagus. We sat on the patio with a cool sea breeze on a hit summer day. Sitting on the patio is a perfect way to eat lunch or dinner to enjoy the refreshing summer breeze.
