They now charge $65 for me to walk out of the office with an eye glass script in my hands. $65!!!!! How ethical is that? It's like I went to my GP and asked for the z pack and GP charges me $65 just to submit it to CVS. I have been a patient for 11 years and guess what! Not going back. Center for Eye Care- Covid is not my fault! Don't punish me!

Always liked coming here for my eye exam. The staff is great . Thorough , polite & comfortable then Dr Willig ! He's very busy obviously because he had no time for me . Told me I was fine come back next year . On his way out the door I said I can't read small print anymore . He came in & finally looked at something & said "oh ! You have cataract " one eye worse then the other so come back next year . Gee thanks dr! . Sorry I bothered you ! I had other issues but forget about it . Sorry, coming for years but need to have a caring eye doctor .

I have been a patient here for years with my entire family and we finally hit a breaking point.
My eye doctor is wonderful.
But the underneath that the office and optical area are unacceptable. They are extremely rude ( esp. the older blonde woman who hates her job) while all humans make mistakes. The team has consistently lied about the mistakes they have made, incorrectly submitted insurance multiple times and have tried to deny me insurance rights. They have even told me I would never receive approval on the usage of the warranty of my lenses and glasses. After 4 phone calls, I finally convinced

My daughter canceled her appointment on the reminder text and it said she needed to call to cancel. She called the next morning got a rude receptionist whose only concern was the $25 cancellation fee she would be charged for not giving 24 hour notice. I became involved at that point in conversation and asked what happens if you wake up sick and you have no advance knowledge and receptionist had the nerve to say that my daughter is fully aware of policy and canceled her appointment 4 times in 2017!!! Really you have a log readily available from 4 years ago to scold your patients??? I told receptionist

I went to see the doctor there today. They would not see me due to the fact that I did not have a debit or credit card to put on file. I do have health insurance with a high deductible. Just the fact they wouldn't see an existing patient is ridiculous I would never recommend anybody going to them. Me and my family will not be returning there.

I had my first visit here yesterday and saw Dr Koopman. I had a great experience. The receptionists were very friendly, the office clean. I barely had to wait and all and Dr Koopman was amazing! Besides knowing her stuff and doing an extensive exam (which caught something that requires further testing), she has wonderful bedside manner. I felt very comfortable with her. She was very thorough, explained everything, and answered all my questions. I will be a long term patient here and highly recommend

Check in staff is often rude and aggressive. Private patient information is discussed in the waiting area with complete disregard for patient privacy. This sets a poor tone for the remainder of the visit.
Eye perscriptions done incorrectly and patients and left to deal with concerning symptoms and associated costs when they arise outside of the grace period.
Changes to perscriptions made without adequate follow up.
Healthcare is about providing patient care, yet it has been made obvious by the staff that financial gain is the only goal here. Trusting a healcare provider with your family is

I have been seeing Dr. Persak for years and I would never see anyone else! He is ultra professional, but, yet he is appropriately friendly. I feel the staff is well trained. My only complaint pertains to the optical store, they never call when your glasses come in! It has happened to me every year! I have to call them!

My observation on the health care industry at the present time, is that services are delivered professionally. However, when it comes to providing the intangibles services such as bed side manners the profession seems to be lacking across the board MDs, PAs, MAs ..etc.
Of the two clinics that I recently visited, professional services were met. Moreover while standards and staff in both cases were professional and services delivered efficiently. What I found to be lacking was human contact or warmth. It might be best, if in formal training were to include basics in social skills relative

Great place. I have been coming here for over 10 years for both eye exams and glasses, and continue to come here even though I've moved out of West Islip. Dr. Lustig and Dr. Koopman are such caring and great doctors. The lady who works in the Optical shop on Saturdays (I forgot her name) is outstanding!!

My whole family has used this office for many years. The doctors in the medical practice are great and I will continue to use them. However, the shop where they sell glasses/contacts is a shady operation. I've been ripped off here more than one time - I've been told something wasn't covered under insurance when it turns out they weren't offering me the covered product and upselling me.
Please let me be clear, this wasn't good sales techniques on a customer who didn't know better. On more than one occasion, I've been told by the office my plan didn't cover

I been taking my kids here for about 5 years. The doctors always go out of their way for my sons to make sure they are comfortable and to understand what is going on.
The eye glass center goes WAY OVER AND ABOVE for their clients. I am the mom of two boys - glasses get broken, glasses get lost, glasses get into the oddest circumstances.....never once do they get made. Instead they go over and above to help me out and to make sure I am not spending ridiculous $$ in the mean time.
Two years ago I took my one son to another eye place, thinking it would save me money....was I wrong! little to say

However after visiting the vision center downstairs I don't think I would ever go back.
The staff seemed not only clueless as to why I was standing there holding my prescription..but annoyed that I was there at all..asking, "What my prescription was...what my eye insurance allowed for frames/lenses" After I instructed her myself that all of this info may be in my electronic chart, they proceeded to discuss my insurance together as if I wasn't standing
