Each time I visit Cedarburg, I always stop into Nouveau Antique Jewelry.
I love walking into this elegant vintage jewelry store. The classic historical feel envelopes you. The creaking wooden floors, tin ceiling, gorgeous glass cases and lovely wares feel so stately.
The ladies that work there are so gracious and polite. I love when they tell me stories behind some of the pieces they have. The back stories take me back to the people that owned them. Oh the memories...
There is always a little doggie in the shop, which I LOVE. On my last visit, there was an extra dog there as well. The woman

When you walk into Nouveau, you aren't simply shopping for some jewelry. You are entering into an experience. Not only is the selection of pieces from antique to modern in abundance, but every staff person is patient and knowledgeable. I have never felt pressured or hounded to make a purchase. They are ready to answer any and all questions and never make you feel like you are bothering them. They understand budget constraints and never try to upsell. I stopped in today needing some information on some old pieces of jewelry I had. Laurie was amazingly knowledgeable and went out of her way to help me. The store is lovely and the jewelry is more amazing that you can imagine. I wanted everything in there. Why would anybody buy new jewelry when you can get a one of a kind piece here. Stop by. You will not regret it (but your wallet might).

I want so badly to support this small business, but my experience was really, really bothersome. I ordered two wedding bands for me and my partner. They let him pick out three because they needed stock and said he could pick it out when they arrived. They said they’d call in a week and a half when they arrived. Three weeks went by and we got no call, I left a voicemail, no one returned my call. Four weeks went by and the person I finally spoke with could not tell me anything about my order and asked if she could call me back. I got a call a few hours later letting me know I could pick them up

I LOVED this jewelry store; I went to a couple of the stores here in Cedarburg and this one was my favorite by far. The antique jewelry here is some of the best I've seen, even better than some of the stores I've been to in California. There are some modern pieces, too, although I didn't really get a good look of those pieces since I was so enamored with the older pieces.

I had a very disappointing experience while looking at engagement rings here. I was looking for something unique and found an antique setting that was exactly my taste and the ticket price was $149 (no center stone), within the budget of my boyfriend. We decided to look around a bit but then my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to just get that one. He could tell I loved it. And I couldn't believe I was about to get my engagement ring!!! Love love love this shop! We visited on the recommendation of my sister in 2010... my original wedding set had broken after 16 years and it had been sitting in my jewelry box for 4. We finally made the trek to check out his shop and it just so happened we visited on the owner's 50th birthday!
We found the most beautiful wedding ring circa 1930's. He offered to make a wedding band to match the engagement ring. He said it would take about an hour...so my husband and I took a walk and spent some time at the cafe across the street.
I was so happy when I saw it. Absolutely beautiful

Our journey began in the biggest of big box jewelry stores, where we immediately decided we needed to change course. I'm not the kind of girl who likes to hear "ooooohhhh...look at how it sparkles" about every ring I look at or be pressured into making a choice today, and the whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth. We regrouped and decided to call nouveau after reading all of the other reviews.

I searched all of the greater Milwaukee area and this is the only shop that fit my criteria: reasonably priced, vintage, quality, variety (opals, rubies, sapphires, and more including of course diamonds) and also the staff was very helpful and patient with me, one very picky and slightly indecisive person.
I would advise anyone looking for a vintage ring to start here even if you live in Milwaukee (I'm near downtown)

I love this place! Okay, keep your snide thoughts to yourself and read on. From the lavender paint on the façade to the tin ceiling, and everything in between, the store is full of eye candy wherever you look.
Once I was done ogling the antique fixtures that line the walls and looked inside the display cases instead of at them, I was seriously amazed. They specialize in antique and estate jewelry, and each piece is more amazing than the last.
Even if you're not in the jewelry market, if you appreciate the art and craftsmanship of the past, you need to experience this store.

This place is great. Amazing service and great quality product. We had looked all over the place for an engagement ring to no avail. I purchased my wife's diamond engagement ring from Nouveau a few years ago and a pair of diamond studs just this month. The process was easy; prices were competitive; and Jon was able to quickly source stones and settings exactly to spec.
Best of all, my wife loves her jewelry... she says her ring and earrings are perfect. Couldn't ask for anything more!

This little shop is incredible. It is mostly full of Parisian antiques. The owner has spent many years traveling to Paris to bring the beautiful items back to sell in her store. If you are into Art Nouveau you must check this place out but even if you aren't you will be blow away by the uniqueness and beauty of every item in this store.
