Services
As a father of 5 children, Dr. Leavitt has first-hand experience working with children and knows the fears and anxieties that many children have towards a dental visit. His personal goal is to help all children have a long term healthy relationship with a dentist throughout their lives. To accomplish this goal, it is important to have children feel as comfortable as possible in the dental setting.
For your convenience, our doctors are providers for most major dental insurance plans. Visa and Mastercard are accepted, and we offer payment plans through Care Credit. Our staff helps parents interpret insurance plans and are able to estimate dental benefits. Insured as well as non-insured costs can be calculated.
A. A pediatric dentist specializes in the oral health care needs of children from infancy through the teenage years. The education of a pediatric dentist involves two to three years of advanced training after four years of dental school. The pediatric specialist has additional training in behavior guidance and techniques such as sedation that can be used to comfort an anxious child patient.
A toothache can occur from: a deep cavity, an oral ulcer, dental trauma, a gum problem, a loose baby tooth or from something stuck between the teeth. Be sure to keep the area clean. Bleeding should be controlled by holding a clean gauze or wash cloth over the area for at least five full minutes. If bleeding does not stop, please call our office or an emergency room.
The laser is a device that is changing dentistry. Fillings can be completed without the use of dental injections. Children who fear needles can receive treatment without a "shot." This technique almost totally eliminates the possibility that patients will bite their lips after traditional treatment with local anesthesia.

I absolutely loved how the staff talked to my two year old son and to me. Dr. Leavitt took the time to show my son every tool he was going to use and explained what he was going to do. I thought our first dentist appointment was going to be a disaster, but I left feeling so cared for, heard, and supported! I’m so thankful that we stumbled upon such an amazing Dentist and his sweet staff!

Dr Leavitt, office staff and the hygienists have been amazing with my two daughters (5&6). Today my 6 year old had to get a filling and she was really nervous. Dr Leavitt was amazing. Both my girls had a lot to say and a lot of questions, and he was so patient. He was just so incredibly kind, and the kids left happy and ready to go back. I’m so grateful that Dr Leavitt’s office was recommended to us.

My. boys have been patients for 3 years and today my 7 year old had to get a small cavity filled. I was appalled at the treatment he received by Dr. Leavitt. My son was nervous and had a lot of questions but Dr. Leavitt seemed agitated to even answer and when he started to get to work on the tooth, my son started to get scared and Dr. Leavitt said… "fine, we arent doing this...", threw a towel at the wall and stormed out leaving us with the hygienist in shock. At that point we left and never will we be back. I get having bad days, but it doesn't give you the right to act this way.

We had a dental emergency and my daughter was not an established patient. They got her in quick and did amazing with her. They were so kind, and explained everything as they did it. It calmed my daughter’s anxiety and she feels so much better. It was a completely night and day experience compared to her last pediatric dentist. Thank you so much! She told me she wants to come back, which is saying a lot for a kid!

We just moved to the area, and after a lot of confusion with dentists for our kiddos, I called to ask about bringing my kiddos here. They were so kind answering all of my questions and so helpful and willing to make calls for me to lessen my load. My son has been having tooth pain, in a tooth with precious trauma, and I was fearing the holidays… coming up! I called to see what to do and he squeezed him in to check it out. They went over and beyond to do a check on the problem area. The entire crew here is kind procession and caring! Thank you for easing my worries before the holidays! They
