ROAD also owns and operates its flagship boutique located in Uptown Seattle. ROAD's parent company, Shah Safari, Inc. was founded in Seattle in 1975 by two brothers - Raj & Akhil Shah. They were 19 and 17 year-old college students who were both very interested in fashion. They recognized a void in the market that could provide an opportunity for them to design clothes for their contemporaries and sell them to local retailers in Seattle.

My husband loves Road Apparel or I should say has in the past. We do not live in Seattle so when we come to the 5th Avenue Theater we always make sure we visit this store. However, we have noticed these last few years that the personnel seems to change and the salesperson they replace is just mediocre time after time. In fact when we come and visit the store lately we are surprised to see it is still open. We keep thinking it will close because it is never really busy. We were excited to visit today because my husband had a couple of gift certificates he wanted to use. We arrived early thinking

I attended a wine event last night hosted by Road at their downtown location. The event itself was well executed, but I wanted to comment on their store.
The Road staff we interacted with were knowledgeable and personable. I expect that if I were shopping during normal hours I would have a similar experience.
The product selection seems aimed at the trendy urban shopper, featuring jackets, blazers, sweaters and strategically placed leather, alongside shoes, luggage, some (gorgeous!) messenger bags, audio equipment and most of the furnishings a gentleman might need.
In all I'd recommend
