In 1983 Lowell's son Tim joined him as they purchased Romnes Funeral Home of St. Charles and Lewiston. Lowell's son Gary joined the firm in 1993; in 1995 they purchased Cook Funeral Homes of Rushford and Houston. In 1996 the Hoff's merged with Burke Funeral Home of Winona.

Ashley at Hoff Funeral Home was so kind and caring to me at the time of my dad’s passing. The moment I walked in she greeted me with sincerity and a gentle smile on her face. She guided me through the process of organizing my dad’s wishes and was so helpful with putting together an amazing obituary. I left our meeting knowing everything was done exactly the way my dad wanted things to be. Also the support and communication weeks following my dad’s passing has been wonderful. I know that everyone at Hoff will be there for me always.

We really appreciate the caring, thoughtful manner balanced with their knowledge and professionalism of Elizabeth and Cole of the Hoff Funeral Home. Elizabeth kept us calm even with our high emotional state when our Mom passed away and Cole calmly explained the options and process that we could select from. They took care of everything very quickly before we had to go back home. They graciously waited for us to have time to grieve and adjust before checking in to make sure we were ok.

When my dad passed away in December it was the worst day of my life. Hoff was so compassionate and considerate from the time they came to pick him up after he passed and still are to this day. They made everything in this difficult time much easier for us especially in the middle of a pandemic. Constantly checking in on my mom. Any questions we had they were there. I would recommend Hoff to anyone. Thank you

I was impressed by the professionalism of all the staff members at Hoff. They kept the memory of my father the primary focus. The celebrant made the memorial service especially meaningful by weaving special stories and memories into her narrative. The decisions about how to display the urn, what the memorial service would include; music, verses, prayers, a toast, were all determined by the family. Hoff accommodated our need for distant family members to be part of the memorial via Zoom. A video link was also provided for future viewing. The staff at Hoff were great listeners and provided a warm

Wonderfully compassionate and helpful every step of the way. Gary is amazing and everyone was nothing short of helpful and caring, especially during the difficult time of my dad’s death. Hoff Funeral Homes was also there to support my family with the loss of both my grandparents and my uncle. They are truly wonderful and I would highly recommend them. So very grateful they were there to help with arrangements.

The loss of my father was my first time having to make decisions on a service. He didn’t have a will and I had know idea what he would have wanted. Ashley and the whole Hoff staff were so helpful and truly made a difficult time a lot easier by taking care of all the details. Hoff funeral home did a wonderful job when we lost our Dad! They had to travel to pick my Dad up after he passed and they took care of contacting the other funeral home and arranging everything. We wanted to have the service soon after Dad’s passing and with them having to pick him up from out of town they told us it was going to be difficult to do some things we wanted for the service in the short amount of time but they pulled every single one of our requests off and really helped decrease the stress of the loss of our Dad significantly. I highly recommend Hoff Funeral & Cremation Services
