Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.

I’m absolutely disgusted with not only how rude the staff is but with how awful the doctors are. I have had a bad experience with them multiple times but my sister’s experience is worse. She took her cat there in an emergency and the doctor said she was fine. She gave the cat a steroid shot and sent them on their way. A few months later the same issue happens again with the cat. Turns out she is dying from heart failure and fluid is filling up her lungs along with becoming paralyzed in her back legs and the doctor completely dismissed this as a possibility because she believed her to be too

THIS OFFICE IS WONDERFUL!! Before finding Dr. Goos and the awesome staff at BVH I had been with a different vet for 7+ years but the care my dogs were receiving had really declined and it was time to make a change. I recently took my dog here and I could not be happier! My dog has many health issues and Dr. Goos was so knowledgeable and kind, and took her time with us. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they all truly care about animals here. I left with a sigh of relief and a smile knowing my dog(s) will get the best care. Thank you so much, you are all appreciated!

I love Drs. Wheat and Goos (pronounced Goose). They really care about the pet they are seeing and take lots of time with you, answering any questions and concerns, and you never feel like you are being rushed out for the next patient. They are excellent, knowledgeable and passionate vets. I recommend them highly. The office is a small practice, which makes you feel like you are going to a cozy country vet that gives personalized service. The office is impeccably clean, and the staff is very friendly and hardworking.

This is the second year we are taking our 13 year old chihuahua to Dr. Wheat. She is very professional, down to earth, and excellent with animals.
The office is conveniently located off Nichols Road. It is very clean, modern, and welcoming. There are free jelly beans, coffee, magazines, and children's books in the waiting room. There is also a television.
I highly recommend this practice for your animal care needs.

We have been "seeing" Dr. Wheat for over a decade. She and her staff are always patient and loving - taking time with each of our pets regardless of the "size" of their issue. Bottom line is we completely trust her with the furry members of our family and know that they will get the best care possible. The office was given a much needed renovation about 2 years ago and it is really a nice layout with everything a pet and a vet could need.

I recommend Dr. Wheat at Bayport Vetinary Hospital without hesitation. After a devastating tragedy with another Vet in Patchogue ( with a heartless Vet who put our beloved cat down unnecessarily), we found Dr. Wheat. After adopting a kitten, I was understandably very cautious & guarded about choosing a Vet. Dr. Wheat was the perfect choice. She is caring, knowledgeable, friendly, & we share the same philosophy that euthanasia is an absolute last resort.

Not at all happy with the service provided from Bayport Veterinary Hospital. Not only was I charged two times for waste removal that was not necessary, as I didn't bring in waste, I was also charged for a second check-up fee when I was told there would not be one for solely administering a shot. Then after we moved to Arizona and requested the records to be sent over, they refused. They told us they no longer had the records as the Vet left and took them. My current vet had to speak with 3 people in order to obtain our records. The records were indeed there. She claimed the first two people

Our French Bulldog had a skin rash and cut on her paw. I called BVH and they were able to get her in that morning. The office was spotless. The Staff was terrific and very caring. Dr. Wheat was great. She listened to all of our concerns and answered all of our questions. Our Frenchie has a new VET!!!
