Your eyes are the most important sensory organ you own. They deserve a thorough evaluation when you visit your optometrist, to keep you seeing, feeling, and looking your best. There is a big difference between just getting a glasses prescription and getting a comprehensive eye exam. A comprehensive eye exam includes an evaluation of the eye muscles, neurological responses, vision, eye health, and a dilated eye exam.
Did you know that your children should have their first eye screening in the first 12 months? A second exam at 2 years? And then an exam every 2 years? A child's learning is directly affected by their vision. When a child has difficulty seeing their environment clearly, there is a high risk they will become delayed in their development.
People with Myopia, or near-sightedness, can see things up close but not far away. Myopia occurs when the length of the eye grows too long. When this occurs, light focuses in front of the vision cells in the eye, causing distant objects to become blurred. It is not reversible. Treatment: Myopia can be treated with glasses, contact lenses and specialty Orthokeratology lenses.

Knock 3 stars off because they wouldn't fit glasses I ordered through vsp online retailer. Received an email from the retailer/vsp that I can get a complimentary fitting at any vsp associated office but this one refused. I'll probably have to find a new doctors office who is more flexible. Otherwise my experience has been good.

Dr. Labiento and her staff are supportive, professional, kind, and experts. I have been a patient for many years. I deeply respect Dr Labiento as she has cared for me and identified eye issues early on. She treated me quickly without complications. They have worked with my busy schedule to fit me in. I recommend Dr. Labiento for your eye care. They also have a great selection of glasses!

This woman literally saved my eyesight.
I was cleaning the toilets at work one day when I got bowl cleaner in my eye. My boss called the owner and she opened just for us. Tested my eye and rinsed it until the ph was correct.
Apparently toilet bowl cleaner can literally blind you, I may have lost the sight on one eye if it wasn't for this doctor.

Competent, but not particularly friendly or customer focused. I wear gas-permeable hard contacts, and I wanted an updated eyeglass prescription, for when I take my contacts out (at night or on weekends). She wanted me to not wear my contacts for two months, let my cornea reshape, then she could give me a true eyeglass prescription. But that is not how I use my eyeglasses. She had some questionable opinions, that hard contacts should be replaced every year (can't find that anywhere on the web), that I did not have irregular astigmatism (as other eye doctors have told me). I was also disappointed

Dr Labiento Smith is a gifted eye doctor who runs a wonderful practice. She has a great assortment of glasses to offer and is enthusiastic, skilled and generous. She has gone out of her way to help me out in a few difficult situations with my glasses. She has provided service beyond what one would automatically expect. Her staff is always helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I recommend her highly.

I gave her 2 chances: her first chance she was rude to me when I brought our four year old son in for an appointment. She was callous and cold when asked to simply fix the noise piece on the glasses. She did everything except call me a liar when I explained why the lenses were scratched. The lenses were not why we were there.
I wanted to immediately find a new eye doctor for our son, but my wife and I agreed to give her one last chance. Sometimes people have a bad day and we did not want to go through the work of moving if she was just having an off day.
Well, the second chance was worse. She
