Orthopedic rehabilitation encompasses a wide range of injuries and problems involving the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and peripheral nerves. In physical therapy we work to resolve pain, limited motion, gait problems, weakness, dizziness and instability, loss of function, and to prevent recurrence.

Athletic injuries are essentially orthopedic injuries which have a sport specific component. Because the function of athletes requires more strength and speed for more elite motor control, it can be more difficult to identify problems early and requires higher training levels to fully restore sport activities.
