Studies show that most Americans want to recycle, but they are not sure how. Knowing what you can and cannot recycle can be confusing, especially because it varies depending on where you live. However, with growing concerns about the state of our environment, proper recycling is crucial. Here's a guide to how you can recycle right.
With over 16 years' experience collecting organics from restaurants and food service businesses in New York, we take special care to collect food waste in a timely manner and keep your establishment clean and in compliance with New York City's waste ban regulations. We provide 35-gallon and 64-gallon roll-out carts to store food waste separately from trash.
Inspectors will be randomly visiting businesses in NYC and issuing fines if they find this type of material in your trash. Single Stream recycling is a system in which all paper products, cardboard, rigid plastic containers, metal cans and glass bottles/jars are mixed in one collection container. We do the sorting for you at our affiliated facility, Scholes Street Recycling (SSR).

All the reviews about missed-pickup are spot on. Over the years, they were never very consistent. Every other week or so, they will miss a pickup or two. Since we didn't have that many bags out, it wasn't worth complaining. Recently, they just gave me the big fat finger. I had to call every week about missed pickup. Always excuses about having new drivers, escalating to the night manager, and whether it's being placed in the same spot.
Overall terrible. Very simple. I pay you on-time monthly, you remove the number of agreed bags from the same location on a set schedule

As a bar, we have started using Mr. T Carting services after constant missed pick ups from another company. So far the service has been great. They missed couple of pick ups due to a misunderstanding regarding the schedule, but they have resolved the issue immediately after being notified. They are also the first company we dealt with that does not do one-way price adjustments: they will actually bring the price down if the total amount of trash the place produces is lower than usual average. We just wish we found out about Mr. T Carting sooner!

Save your time and money. The absolute worst company. No customer service. No professionalism. Lies about when they are coming. Lies about why they didn't pick up your trash. Unreliable. Having them pick up your trash is the equivalent to just dumping on the street and leaving it there for months at a time. Not even sure how they are still in business, but it seems like this is all they are known for. Spend money elsewhere.

The dumpster pickup people are pretty good, they pick up the containers quickly. But their customer services are horrible, not reliable, told you one thing and never do it. If you have a choice, choose a company with better customer services, because when you have garbage pickup issues, you want a customer services that works with you.

This business opened its doors to my CUNY journalism students and gave us a full tour. Guide was knowledgeable about not just city ordinances but the entire ecosystem of pickup and recycling, and shared with us his deep expertise. The business has a strong focus on maximizing the amount of cardboard and other materials that can be sold for reuse, even picking out undesirable plastics by hand.

This is the perfect example of using neighborhood businesses and getting treated like family. I needed to remove debris from my backyard and Nathan even came to see what I had to help me figure out what I would need to dispose of it all. They were very friendly, accommodating, quick and professional. I would highly recommend using them! Horrible!!! Do not use!!! I would give them zero stars if possible! My job uses them and they always miss pick up's! Which has caused us to get fines in the past of $100 + because our garbage was left out and not taken. Then to make it worse when we call them (after they make you wait on hold for over a half hour) they have the nerve to tell you that they have no drivers available to pick it up and you have to bring your garbage back inside and they will take it another day!! Honestly don't even get how they are still in business! They are the worst!!!

Terrible service - have had to call every week due to consistent missed pickups. I called yesterday, a few hours before our scheduled pickup, to confirm that they would come to collect our trash; I was assured that we were on the schedule and I was told 'I will personally ensure that your trash is collected today' by the customer service rep. My trash, however has not been picked up, and I am currently on hold with the customer service helpline. I would not recommend Mr T to anyone, unless the service they expect from their carting company is a total disregard for customer satisfaction

Acoording to NYc Administrative 24-225 (b) "It shall be unlawful to operate or cause to be operated a refuse collection vehicle, including such a vehicle equipped with a compacter, within 50 feet of any residential receiving property at or after 11:00 p.m. and before 7:00 a.m."
Yet, you are outisde my window at 3am picking up a dumpster 4 nights a week. Unfair company who doesn't follow local ordinaces.

I do not recommend this place. They will not return phone calls, are not organized with their billing and there too many hidden costs. Most companies would love additional business but after chasing these guys down trying to schedule a dumpster, I gave up and found a company much easier to work with.
