Dr. Smooke took literal care of me when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and no one else would. They apparently where afraid of the liability of pulling my tooth and offering me pain medication during my procedure. He was knowledgeable and confident even before speaking with my OB. He contacted me afterwards to make sure all was well. I will be returning to his office for all my dental needs. I also did not have insurance at the time and it was still affordable.

I saw Dr. Smooke several years ago for a cleaning and exam. He was nice, but he told me that I needed an existing filling replaced. I did not get it replaced and have seen a different dentist since then who said I did not need it replaced. Dr. Smooke told me over six years ago that I needed that filling replaced, I still have not had it replaced, and the existing filling has caused me no problems. I have heard stories of dentists saying certain things needed to be done to be patients when they didn't. I think this was an example of that. I did not need any other dental work done

This clown (Dr. Smooke) told me I needed crowns and a root canal. Went to 2 separate doctors on 2 separate occasions (even different states) and didn't have a single cavity! He's a thief and a liar. and advise anyone who cares about themselves to stay away. He should be reported to the State Attorney General.

Being excited to go to the dentist - well, as excited as one can be for any dental experience - is something I never thought I would ever experience, and am VERY grateful to have now with each visit to Dr. Smooke and his wonderful team! The attention to detail and care has been seen throughout my visits, from the greeting on the phone, welcome at the door, Karen's cleaning my teeth (and giving me tips!), to the truly gentle and attentive care of Dr. Smooke with getting my teeth the healthy care they have needed.

Just left and what a great experience. Wife hadn't been to the dentist in ages and she was nervous. Dr Smooke put her at ease, explained everything that needed to be done and our best course of action.
Total pros. Karen is an amazing (and gentle) hygienist, and the front desk is on it. Next appointment is made and I'm making one for myself.

Soooo I write this with a heavy heart! I like this doctor's personality but I am in sooo much pain from the fillings he just did. A friend recommended him last time. Exactly a year ago he did my first filling I was in so much pain and that tooth is still sensitive to this day.
It had been a year so I somehow forgot that he had recommended I get fillings on my left side teeth. So when I went in October 19, I was just expecting a cleaning. Then it was X-rays and before I knew it I was not being given an option but I needed 4 fillings done! It has been about 5 days and I am popping pain killers

Very friendly, first class customer experience and very caring
I had two crowns put in. During the preparation there was a lot of work that needed to be completed. Dr. Smooke text me later in the evening to see how I was doing, I have never had a doctor follow up after hours.
I would highly recommend Dr. Smooke and his staff!

It is rare these days to experience genuine care and professional service. I can't say enough about my experience with Dr. Smooke and his staff. It had been awhile since I've seen a dentist and I was nervous like most. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and every step in the process was transparent and painless. It was also nice to be in a dentist office built for today as I was able to watch TV while my teeth were being performed on.
It has been a few months now and my teeth feel great and I can't even tell which tooth was worked on. Thank you to the staff

Had a terrific experience at Dr Adam Smooke's office today. Went for a cleaning and knew that I would have some future work that needed to be done. The secretary helped me assess the necessary fees - which are pretty standard compared with other dental procedures in Houston. She also gave me all the details about a financing option which looks pretty great. Dr Smooke and his staff were really kind and efficient at the same time. I noticed that they also have what seems to be the most up to date techniques and instruments - this is not the dental experience I would have even 10 years ago

ABSOLUTELY KNEW I NEEDED A SECOND OPINION!! Recently moved to Houston and chose a dentist close to my new home.. BAD IDEA! X-Rays were not quality.. "shadows" indicated decay/cavities that needed to be filled, but were hard to see when I asked to see them.. Then explained I had sensitivity and wrote me a prescription for a fluoride that cost $18! Totally unheard of.. Gas for the filling process was extra?! The whole process, he was chatting away and asking questions.. Seriously?! You have a drill in my mouth!! Cavity felt fine until numbing agent wore off.. jagged points on edges that

I was so mad after I left that office I couldn't sleep for a month. I had gotten a direct mail ad from him (I should have known then something was off) and went in for a cleaning. $65.00 cleaning my butt! The old bait and switch! I have great teeth but he insisted I needed $3.7k worth of stuff done etc. Total, total scam. You know how you can just "feel" it when something isn't right? The vibes with this guy and the whole office were very shady. Stay AWAY. It's all about the Benjamins with this guy.

I would not recommend this dentist to my worse enemy. I made an appointment because my tooth was hurting and I knew I probably needed a root canal and crown. When I saw him, he clean the tooth and fitted me for a crown. I was told I would need to see a specialist for the root canal. Everyone was nice, at first, then came the bill and my insurance. I paid for half of everything that day then realized when I left they had over charged me $250.00. When I brought this to their attention Dr. Smooke proceeded to tell me the insurance representative I spoke with didn't know what they were talking

Awesome dentist! A little more expensive than your chain dentists, but so much better. Super clean and up-to-date office and you'll see him, not the dentist scheduled for the day.
I'm sorry to say I need extensive dental work, but I knew that before visiting him and he didn't tell me anything I hadn't heard before. Unfortunately keeping the apartment, car, and food on the table have been a little more important lately; but at least I knew he wasn't jerking me around.
