I can't believe this place is still open! They replaced my battery with an after market battery that only worked for one year! Now I have to get a new one- this place is a joke! Don't go!

GREAT experience. Had an iPad that got disabled. They explained what they would do, how much they would charge and that it would probably take 2-3 days. BUT less than 24 hours it was fixed, is back in our house and working just fine... and all for less than $100 which they told me upfront. Truly appreciate. Many folks came and went while we were there and they were extremely nice, informative and helpful. Thanks

I have been getting my computer repaired at computer zone for years. They are friendly, professional and courteous (at both locations) and have very reasonable prices for repairs and for used/refurbished items.

Needed a new screen for my iPhone, chose the tempered glass. After I got back home I noticed there was a bubble along the right edge & along the top. They were kind enough to redo it when I brought it back in.
Dealt with a couple different employees; they were both knowledgeable and friendly. This is a tiny easy-to-miss shop but they do excellent work at a reasonable price.

My MacBook Pro crashed last week, and the next morning I called Computer Zone when they opened. They told me to bring it in right away, quickly identified the problem, explained to me what was going on, and patiently talked through the various repair options and costs with me. The repairs were completed quickly, and my computer is working great… again. I appreciated the tech guys from Computer Zone taking the time to teach me a little bit about how my computer works, and I really appreciate their high quality work. I highly recommend Computer Zone!

The technician from Computer Zone was fantastic. Gave me straight answers and was honest the entire time. Did my due diligence and proceeded with most all of his suggestions. He was flexible with his hours and he understood my personal needs to give me what I needed in a timely manner.

Rarely do I ever write reviews, but I'm impressed! Brought my iPhone 8 in the morning to troubleshoot my unresponsive screen and they told me upfront the possible outcomes. It took less than 3 hours to fix and they even cleaned my charging port and added a screen protector! 10/10 would come again.

Fantastic place. Thought I had a cracked iPhone screen but they saw it was just the screen protector and instead of hitting me for $120 it was $15. Honest, competent, and fast. Go there.

UPDATE: my screen now turns blue randomly... about a month after getting my screen "repaired."my screen is still very insensitive, lots of VERY hard pressing to type (it sucks so much). Again please don't go here, I beg you. just go to a verified repair shop and spend the extra $10 or so on getting your phone actually fixed, I suggest mobile kangaroo!

Price gouging at its finest, too bad too as I'd always rather support local businesses. I was charged full price today ($90) for a USB C laptop power supply that was used. Had to buy it as no one else in town had one and I could t wait for it to be shipped. You guys lost my business and I will not recommend anyone go here either.

I had my Thunderbolt Display repaired, Video cable replaced. Fast service and friendly people.

Best place to get your phone or computer fixed! Excellent service, great prices and very quick! They have saved several computers and my phone and the diagnosis was spot on! I absolutely recommend the team at computer zone!

I kept trying this place, and I feel disappointed each time. I had one experience with the owner who was very rude, though all the employees were kind, and gave me a discount later. The $50 screen fix they advertised does not include parts--aka false advertising for a $100 screen repair. Now a few months after the repair, my screen isn't working. Go to other places in the neighborhood and save your time/money!

Took my iPod for replacing a battery and then he told me he needed to get some parts. Charged me $70.00. The owner was very rude. Not recommended... RIPOFF !!

Everyone I spoke to at Computer Zone was awesome, and they fixed/tuned up my computer in ~24 hours. My only complaint is that $89 is a pretty steep diagnosis fee...but still great service!

First, the person working was so rude. Then, I was charged a service fee for them to look at my phone - which is fine. Then they charged an additional fee and told me they could do nothing.

So they charged me extra money, provided no service and told me to come back and try again on Monday, where they would charge me to do the same thing they just did! I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go to this place. This is absolutely the worst service of any place I have been in Santa Cruz. I could not be more disappointed.

Never go here for an screen replacement! They sell you a cheap piece of crap screen that breaks ~40days after so you aren't covered by the warranty. Woke up today and backlight doesn't work anymore, thin lines of dead pixels starting to creep across screen, and a weird green tint to the screen.

I repeat NEVER GO HERE for an iPhone screen replacement.

6/27/17 - Update

RadMax 380W PSU that Computer Zone installed in July 2014 finally died 6/26/17.

The technician at the new shop (see my excellent review for the new place) discovered that the vibration noise that the RadMax PSU was making shortly after it was installed by Computer Zone, was due to the fact that the power supply harness was missing. The PSU was being held in with three screws, making it unstable and causing it to vibrate against the metal side panel at power on. The rest of the screws were missing, as was the plate covering the PSU on the outside. I wonder what else they stole

I have worked in the customer service industry for over 20 years. This business is surprisingly still in business. I paid 80 bucks to remove the data from my laptop. When I did not hear from them after five days I called to be told that I need to bring in a flash drive in order to get the data. I was told that the cost of 80 bucks was to get my data off the computer but not on a disc or usb. Which is not what was said when I brought the computer in. Totally rippoed off my mother when she went in looking for a 240gig samgsung 840 evo gave her a 256gig crucial mx100 told her it was the same (which its not its alot cheaper) and then charged her 200$ don't trust the kind of people that will rip off someone just because they dont know much about computers

Ordered a battery that doesn't work with my computer. Replaced it with yet another incompatible battery. Policy won't allow a refund event though they have failed to provide a working battery. Rude owner. DON"T GO HERE EVER!

They are wonderful. I had a Toyota Prius Smartkey that had gone through a full wash cycle in my washing machine. It would cost 325 dollars at the dealer to replace it. By the time we opened it up, it had a whole bunch of corrosion inside. Computers Zone fixed it for $32.50
