Dr Unruh grew up in the Carson Valley and graduated from Douglas High School in 1984. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Dangberg, in 1986. He attended the University of Nevada Reno with a major in Pre-Medicine in 1990. From 1991 to 1995, he attended the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.
The use of an intraoral camera at Unruh Dental gives you and Dr. Unruh a better look at your dental health. This dental technology makes cavities, gum disease, and other oral problems easier to see. By using this tiny device to accurately snap detailed photographs of areas to be treated, Dr. Unruh can better explain your dental problems to you, and can make you an active participant in deciding on the best treatment option.
At Unruh Dental, we understand that dental drills can create dental anxiety in some people. Even those who don't have an overwhelming fear of the drill typically don't like it either. Because of this, we use enamel microabrasion to treat decay whenever possible. During enamel microabrasion, a pressurized stream of aluminum oxide powder is directed onto your teeth, removing decay and fissures.

The best dentist I have ever had and I've said that about previous providers but now I know what The Best truly is. This is a family based office with a couple of hygentists that are not. But everyone in that practice treats you like family. When in transition to Medicare the first insurers offered did not list their practice so I bought an extra policy just to be able to continue my around 15 years of being treated there. I have since changed insurance and am covered by just the one again. I would not leave this practice for any other, ever.

Once again, my visit was great! I have my teeth cleaned every 3 months with Robyn. She's the best! I travel round trip over 200 miles to see Robyn and Dr. Unruh. I can't offer a better compliment than that! I highly recommend Dr. Unruh and his staff for a friendly, accommodating and professional experience.

Dr. Unruh has been absolutely amazing! Not only his patience and gentleness, but also the exemplary skill and knowledge. You will never feel like you are at the dentist with Dr. Unruh because you will never have pain or discomfort. My husband and I won't go anywhere else, due to the fact that we know that we won't be able to get the excellent care from the entire staff anywhere else. Thank you again Unruh Dental!!

I am extremely grateful to have had Dr. Unruh recommended to me. Not only is he extremely thorough and compassionate, but everyone working there is very friendly and super professional. I almost hate to tell anyone how good they are, for fear of the office being busier than they already are. I have a mouth full of crowns from a previous dentist, and I wish that Dr. Unruh had done them, he is so much more conscientious about color and fit! The best dentist that I've ever had.

Right from the start I felt at ease with the staff and Dr. Unruh. I have not been to the dentist for awhile due to my fear of dentist. That is not the case here, they understand and make you feel comfortable. They listen to your concerns and act on them with grace and patience. I believe that I have found my new dentist!

Over my lifetime I had over 25 dentists working on me, including oversees. In last 10 years I went to dentists in Bay Area and here in Minden. I do have more than 14 implants , most of it done in NYC, so trust me I can see a good professional.
Dr.Unruh was recommended by one of my tenants, who used him for 2 5 years.
What strucked me with this office that you don't feel like "Charlie Chaplin on assembly line". Dr. Unruh takes his time and totally devoted to your case for as long as he needed. His assistant- Kristy, comments to you on doctor's steps , so you don't have to
