We perform routine eye exams for glasses and contacts as well as manage diseases of the eyes like glaucoma, cataracts & macular degeneration. We take both walk-in eye emergencies as well as scheduled appointments.
At Eye Care North we are introducing an alternative treatment approach for those suffering from dry eye disease. With specialized equipment, our doctors perform an in-office treatment to help promote the production of your own natural oils in your tears. Normally, our tears consist of three layers: a protein/mucous layer at the bottom, a water/nutrient layer in the middle, and an oil/fatty acid layer at the top.
The eyeXpress Eye Hydration System is a hands-free device developed for in-office therapy to relieve symptoms of dry eye while assisting eye hydration. The unique goggle system applies continuous heat to the upper and lower eyelid at the same time. The eyeXpress(R) increases the tear film and aids in the eye hydrating itself.
Many people haven't heard of Binocular Vision Dysfunction or BVD for short. Nevertheless, it is a surprisingly common visual condition that can cause patients to experience a range of unpleasant symptoms. The key characteristic of BVD is eyes that are slightly out of alignment, which means that they don't work together as well as they could.

Eye Care North was so conveniently close that I was hoping it would be a good place to take my eye care business. It turns out to be a well established business of 8 years and all of the employees are very nice and professional. From the receptionist, to the young man who took my initial readings, to Dr Julie Lam to the woman who helped me with frames, everyone was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I’ll definitely be returning there for my annual exam!

I'm so glad we found Eye Care North and Dr. Lam's team! Dr. Lam and all of her staff are top notch; courteous from the moment you walk through the door. Helpful and patient with all of my questions and requests! :-)
I was also impressed by all of the state the art equipment, especially the imaging device to see the back of my eyeballs!

Doctor Julie is a wonderful doctor. She is so knowledgeable and takes her time answering your questions. Dr Julie has a beautiful clean office everyone makes you feel so welcome. I went for neuro vision testing and she really knows the science behind a complicated problem that I’m having. Glad we found Dr Julie now I can get my life back!

We have been coming to Dr Lam for about eight years now and we’re so pleased with the service that she has given us and the knowledge and experience! Her staff has been well trained and we appreciate everything that they have done for us in the past few years. I dread going to the eye doctor. Today, I had my first appointment with Eye Care North and Dr. Lam. I will never feel anxious going to the eye doctor again. Her staff is friendly, the whole office has an amazing, calming, positive energy. I had my eyes mapped instead of the horrible dilating. It was a breeze. Dr. Lam was kind, knowledgeable, explaining everything, and listening. Love her and her office. Highly recommend. Already, made my appointment for next year.

Dr. Lam is so patient and kind. I can’t remember the last time I felt heard by a doctor, but I truly felt like Dr. Lam heard me and genuinely wanted to understand what was going on. If you’re looking for a medical professional who takes a vested interest in your care, go see Dr. Lam. The staff was also really nice. Overall great experience and very relieved to know what is wrong and get treatment.
