I did not end up living here for unrelated reasons, and that is too bad. The apartment I viewed here was spectacularly clean and well put together and it was freaking gorgeous. Sierra, the property manager, was wonderful. She spent over an hour with me answering all my questions and showing me everything I asked to see and explaining everything about the apartment complex. I even spoke to a couple of people who were walking around the complex and they all told me they loved it there. I wish I could have lived here, but it wasn't to be.

I am a senior citizen and disabled, I live at Villa Montanaro since July 2021.Chris, the property manager has helped on many occasions to make my stay very comfortable, I dropped my house key and he found it,every time I ask for help,Chris ready to do what can do,he is very calm and patient with the tenants,I recommend him for property manager of the year, all kidding aside he is very good 👍

It is a pleasure communicating/working with Sierra in the process of looking for a unit that works best for me. She keeps me updated at all times and ALWAYS follows up. She is the most sincere person I’ve ever met, and when she gives you her word she sticks to it. This has been the best experience , and she is by far the best leasing consultant I have ever dealt with.

I want to reiterate previous reviews, Sierra is the BEST! She genuinely cares about the residents and tries her absolute best to make sure you feel welcomed and heard.
Because of price inflation caused by COVID, the rent prices did go up (understandably). So, we started searching for other places. We found some places but the reviews scared me. I was stressed to the max. We didn't want to leave. But then, Sierra offered to negotiate the rent or see where she could relieve some monetary pressure. I was so grateful.
She's also very personable and talks to you both professionally

Sierra at Villa Montanaro is just the best! Her customer service goes above and beyond. We were made to feel so welcome. Villa Montanaro is a lovely community, clean, quiet with many amenities. Sierra answered all of my questions that I had and has been so amazing with the start of this process. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a great apartment.

From the moment I inquired about the possibility of living here, the response from the management team has been incredible. Rosalyn patiently and knowledgeably answered all of my questions over the phone, and Sierra, whom I met with for a tour, was nothing short of phenomenal. As of this review, I am still searching for a place to rent so I may or may not end up living here (due to competitive rates elsewhere). I just want to leave a review for the positive experience I had with Sierra (leasing consultant).
This is one of the properties I was interested in and she gave me a pleasant and very thorough tour of the complex. It was very low pressure and she offered to answer any questions I had. She had a smile on her face every time and I never felt rushed or pressured.

I have had the pleasure of working with Sierra via telephone regarding the units. She has been the most pleasant person to work with. Sierra answered all my millions of questions & followed through with everything she said she would, phone calls, etc. Her knowledge has been very helpful & comforting. 5 stars for Sierra! She was the most helpful and professional leasing consultant we have ever had. With everything going on in the world with COVID restrictions, she made our tour of the property easy and convenient. Whenever we had questions Sierra was very responsive via email and over the phone!
Villa Montanaro's property seems very well kept & quiet. There is a nice area for pets & even a small playground for kids. Although we didn't decide to stay at this property, we will definitely consider them in the future!

I lived here for 2.5 years. It's nice, quiet, clean and close to BART which is the primary reason why we chose it.
They are definitely understaffed and this hurts the timeliness and quality of the service you will receive. An entire floor with 30+ units is assigned one blue recycling bin that is emptied once a week. The hallway carpets could use some more regular vacuuming for example. And you will probably not going to see your $500 security deposit back in the end. Which came as a surprise to me given that I returned the unit "definitely" cleaner that was rented to me.

This has been my home for a little over a year now. Unfortunately, life happens and I have to move on. If my circumstances were a little different, I would definitely stay here. This is such a nice complex and the team working here are truly such nice people, very down to earth, and very kind. Personally, I don't feel like I needed a lot but the times that I did need assistance either from the office or maintenance, the responses were very prompt and very professional and very precise to my needs. At first glance these apartments looked appealing with easy access to the freeway and Bart, BUT in actuality this place is underwhelming. Resident retention is poor due to the increase in rent despite minimal amenities. The washer dryer is a stackable which means all day washing and multiple rounds of drying. Poor layouts of the sq ft that each apartment has to use.

In the last 15 years of apartment living, Villa Montanaro is by far the best place I have stayed. The staff are responsive and pro-active, maintenance is top-notch.
The Good:
Staff: Vinnie & Chris at the leasing office are stellar. I loved how they worked hard to make paperwork, and my move a breeze - someone even had the A/C turned on for us & toilet paper stocked because they think about these things! They also ensured that any move-in 'traffic' doesn't interfere with the garage or parking lot entrances - something I see may have been an issue in the past.

Villa Montanaro is one of the best apartment I have stayed in. The apartment is priced very reasonably, with carpet, remodeled kitchen, oversized windows and very important - the windows are double paned. The insulation is also good - I stayed on a top floor unit and there is not much problem with heat in summer, or I can always turn on the AC.
The pool area recently got new beach chairs. Both the BBQ area and the pools are awesome. The gym is a bit small, but the equipment is good.
I can't say enough good things about the staff here, especially the manager Chris. Chris kept everything

I would give overall 3.25 rounding to 3 stars for November 2016 to May 2017. Leasing office employees were overall excellent.
Most of my complaints are about the layout of the complex. Only one elevator in the B building which was scarily making noise and stuttering for a while. Had a leak in the parking lot (from the ground) and wasn't sure if it was part of the complex and we were paying for it. Laundry wasn't working and we had to use another apartment's laundry machine because it took a while to fix. Then, water saving machine meant only filling the small washer halfway. Door

Staff: Jessica, our original community manager, was incredibly helpful with the entire on-boarding process, and any issue we had with logistics she was incredibly prompt to respond. She recently left for another complex and Chris filled her position, and he hasn't missed a beat. Nice guy, sticks to the book, and very diligent in his responsibilities.
Jean-Michael was the maintenance guy and he had by far the hardest job of anyone in this complex. My neighbors would throw trash in the chute and the surrounding floor of the garbage room, expecting
