If your loved one dies at home: If your loved one has been under a doctor's care or in home hospice, the first call can be to the doctor or hospice nurse. If the death is sudden and unexpected, you should call 911, and they will dispatch a police officer. The police will notify the coroner who will come to your home to help determine the cause of death.

In 1882, Henry Linnemann, formerly a Lieutenant on the Covington Police Department, President of Kentucky Federal Savings and Loan Association, and member of the Committee which formulated plans to construct the old Fourth Street Bridge between Covington and Newport, entered into the funeral business with Edward Moore.

I highly recommend Linneman Funeral home. We had our dad’s funeral this year. AJ and his team are very helpful. They lift a lot of the stress off my shoulder and went out of their way to make it work for us. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for all you and your staff have done for us to make this a beautiful funeral for our beloved father. You guys are amazing. We lost both of my parents in 2021. First, my father in January, and then my mother more recently in December. Both of their services were very different. Linnemann allows you to have exactly the service your loved one would have wanted. No pressure to do something you don’t want to do. Louis and his staff are professional, courteous, respectful, and beyond helpful. You are in good hands with Linnemann Funeral Home. Highly recommend!

My beautiful Calico cat Aniko passed and I was so unprepared for the emotional wave that rolled in. Having to make that decision to end our fur babies pain and suffering is not an easy one. Letting her go was extremely difficult, but I knew the best gift I could give her was to set her free of a body that no longer served her in this life.

The Linnemann funeral home has been wonderful to our family time and time again. They were beyond thoughtful when working with our family. When dealing with a loss, being able to have a support system take care of the funeral and service in such an honoring way was so important to my family. Linnemann funeral home exceeded our expectations. They made the transition so much easier and provided endless support throughout the entire process. We never imagined that we would have to choose a funeral home to care for our son. The thought of doing that was so unsettling. And the decision had to be made so quickly after our son's unexpected death. Thankfully, our dear friend, Erin, was with us the night Joe died. She has had to bury both her husband and her mother. Erin immediately offered to call Louis and assured us that he would do everything possible to take care of us. She was right. Louis was at our house the next morning offering compassion and guidance.
