Services
The funeral home was founded by Ralph & Della Meyer in 1955. Terry & Terena Deters have been serving families as owners of the Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home since 1990 and bring nearly 30 years of experience to the business. They have chosen to live next to the funeral home to be accessible at all times to the families they serve.
At Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home, Inc., we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
In a profession such as funeral service, which requires experience and accessibility, you would believe that the family owned funeral home would be the enduring business model. Unfortunately, this is not the case. A wave of corporate ownership is sweeping through American funeral service. The corporate owned funeral home poses as a "Mom & Pop" operation, attempting to reap the goodwill developed over generations.
Some people choose cremation because it is the tradition in their family, religious group or geographic area. For some, holding a memorial service at a later date can be more convenient for family and friends. Some find the green or Eco-friendly aspect of cremation appealing, for others the fact that DNA cannot be retrieved from cremated remains is important.

A longtime high school friends mother passed away suddenly, fortunately, she had the foresight to make pre-planned arrangements. Everyone at funeral home was professional and caring during this difficult time. Mr. and Mrs. Deters accommodated all the families requests without hesitation. Thank you for everything you did to help the family.

Mr and Mrs Deters handled the arrangements for my great uncle. They handled all of the details and put our family completely at ease. I did not realize how much had to be taken care of but the took care of absolutely everything and made a hard time so much easier for my mom and great aunt. Thank you so much for what you did for my family.

The funeral home is decent as long as you don't have any children to bring with you. Days before the funeral, the director kept suggesting to my mom to find babysitters for all of our families' children if we could. Our whole family was at the funeral so that wasn't possible. The whole time the kids were confined to one room if they got a little rowdy he was upset. I was stared at disapprovingly for changing my daughter's diaper on a couch because there aren't any places to change babies. The other two funeral directors were nice but the main one was rude even to adults and made a comment about
