I've gone to Nail Art in Wilmette off and on for a number of years. Great results for Mani- and pedicures always.
Today I was unhappy with the owner, though. I had checked the website before booking a pedicure. Price is listed as $30. After the service was rendered, the owner told me it would be $35. Even when I said I was told $30 was the cost, she stuck with $35 without the courtesy of an apology for the changed price or misinformation. She was brusque and unsmiling and unpleasant. Kind of ruins that feeling of being pampered that you hope for at a salon.

I have been going here on/off for years. Recently, I have been getting a no chip for the last 6 months. I spent $40 with a $10 tip. I had chips on 2 nails on my left hand a week after. I went in and asked to have them fixed. It's the owner I have a problem with. She started speaking in a different language and said 3 different times Sunday, referring to the fact it had been a week. The nail technician then asked again how long it had been. It took 5 minutes to fix. Poor customer service.

Overall, the nail technicians, especially Min are consistently good. My issue is with the owner. I typically make appointments. I had an appointment last Sunday and the owner indicated that they were double booked and could I just come back in a few hours. I had an event downtown and needed to scramble to find another salon. Very disappointing customer service. I won't be back.

My family home is quite close to Nail Art and when in a hurry I tend to go there. Unfortunately the past couple times I have visited Nail Art I have been disappointed. The service is friendly and professional, however the manicure itself is not worth the price tag. The process is very speedy and rushed which results in a manicure that lasts only a few days.

The best nail salon I have ever been too! The best pedicure I have ever gotten, and plan to go back a-lot in the future. I recommend it to all my friends and family, co-workers and their circles. My friend brought me here the first time and I fell kn love. Amazing staff worth a large tip! They truly do amazing work and give a great sense of relaxation. Extremely polite and kind and pay attention to detail. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I love Nail Art! I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff are always friendly and professional. I appreciate their attention to cleanliness and solid service. My gel manicures look immaculate and I am so relieved that they do not butcher my cuticles so they start peeling the next day. My manicures last at least two weeks, and I get compliments on them all the time. Thank you, Nail Art!

I never made a yelp account or posted before but I had such a bad experience I felt I needed to share. I was so excited to try this place. I recently moved to the neighborhood and thought it would be so convenient to just walk across the street. My first experience was beyond terrible. I sat down and they didn't clean up from the pervious customers no chip manicure. They just covered the mess with a paper towel. Previous nail polish chips all over where I was resting my hands and arms. Tools were not cleaned. Nail tech reached over to where a customer just left and used those tools. Manicure

Fast, efficient, well done mani and kids mani pedi! Been coming for years, today was great! My daughter and I were very pleased. Julie even indulged my 10- yr olds 3- colors and nail design requests! Tina did a very thorough cuticle cleaning, I specifically requested it, she even suggested the perfect Essie color after I showed her what I like.

Most expensive and worst gel/no chip/soak off mani EVER! $40 for gel, which is highway robbery, but also an additional $10 to soak off the old gel!? Unbelievable! Especially when they only charge $15 for a regular polish mani. Only some places even charge for soaking off the old gel, but at most it's $5, here it's double! Also there were like 4-5 people who worked on my mani, what happened to just one person from start to finish??

The ladies that work in this nail salon are always very warm and seem to be happy and get along with each other well. More importantly- they do a great job and it doesn't break the bank. The salon has a very welcoming feel; it always smells good and is aesthetically pleasing. The furniture is very comfortable and new, basins are very clean. They also give you a little shoulder massage at the table where you wait to have your nails dry ;) Love this place!!

HATE THIS PLACE. Never come here. I am very Unsatisfied with this place. To start off, my entire manicure lasted a total of 5 minutes. My cuticles were not cut, my nails were not filed evenly, and the polish was not applied smoothly, and therefore appeared rushed and quite frankly I could have done a better job myself. There was no second coat applied to my nails and 6 nails have already chipped off and it's only the second day. In addition, I did not want to tip because of how Unsatisfied I was but the cashier insisted that I tip 20% which I feel is extremely unprofessional.

Simply terrible. My daughter and I went to Nail Art because our usual salon was too busy. I'm not all that picky about my nail salons and just wanted a good cleanup and polish. The technician who did my nails was ok, but the polish surface is applied unevenly and she didn't get any color on the sides of my nails. Plus, I had to scrape off the polish off my fingertips when I got home. My daughter had a different technician and it looks like a 5 year old applied her nail color. Came here after my appt from Celebrity Skin. While browsing for my Nail colors, Michelle , the technician keeps calling me so I just pick the first red color and light pink that suits my eye. It was the fastest Mani pedi I got because she didn't clean my cuticles well. My nails were sloppy and some bubbles under the nail polish
Another thing was they didn't change their sign outside. It says $35 for Mani-Pedi but when I paid, they said it is $40
They do give you a little massage which is good and Michelle is nice but the nails not so much, even a 16 year can do it better.

A crazy storm hit during my appointment at Celebrity Skin* so I had no choice, but to kill some time and indulge in a manicure conveniently located next door (under a covered area).
They were able to take me right away. Hooray. As soon as I sat down the woman doing my nails noticed the redness under my eyebrows and asked if I had just gotten them waxed. When I confirmed she asked how much I paid and then let me know that they do they for less $ at Nail Art. Tacky! And so not a nice way to treat your neighboring businesses.
The tacky technician then drilled me with a million inappropriate questions

If I had a choice for no stars, that would be it. This place is horrible. BEWARE. This place is the pits. The owner is rude, and the staff is not kind at all. They rush people through, not giving full attention to what you pay for.
The cut my nails so short, I am having trouble growing them back. I came here because I was in a wedding party, and the bride thought this place was the best. I don't know what she was thinking. Never go here. This place is horrible.

I have been going to Nail Art weekly for about a year now. Its clean, everyone is friendly & they are fast but still do a good job. If you are looking to be pampered with a long rub down this is not the place. If you want in and out at a reasonable price this is it. I think this place is a hidden gem in Wilmette.
