Phoenix Pump, Inc. was incorporated in January of 1992 as a company specializing in the sale of pumps and related equipment to the offshore markets worldwide. Since then, Phoenix Pump, Inc. has expanded its sales efforts into the Commercial Fire, Plumbing, HVAC, and Municipal markets along with the industrial markets, including Engineering Contractors, Chemical, and Petrochemical plants.

Approximatley 90% Onshore Fire Pumps are horizontal split case pumps, and 10% Vertical turbine pumps. This is determend by the source of water for the Fire pump. When called to start, a fire pump must have a positive head pressure (water) at the eye of the impeller. The pump then and only then may pull a lift during operation.
