Schilbach Chiropractic
We are dedicated to serving you and your family through gentle and precise Upper Cervical care. Sarah specializes in balancing the first vertebra in your neck, called the atlas. This wing-shaped bone right underneath your skull protects the "wires" of the communication network that connect your brain, spine, and body.

We believe your body is self-healing: When your brain and body can communicate, your nervous system functions and your body is able to express optimal health. Upper Cervical Chiropractic can help everyone! Infants, seniors, mothers-to-be, athletes, accident/ trauma victims, and insomniacs are just a few who will benefit from this subtle but powerful correction.
Services
Sarah Schilbach grew up in Germany, but has called the Northern California coast her home for over 30 years. She loves nature, especially by walking her dog, riding her mountain bike and horse. Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Sarah worked in the Bay Area Biotechnology sector, managing research projects and working for FDA regulatory review and approval.
An initial history and evaluation is needed to determine a treatment plan that is specifically geared to your needs. A treatment plan includes a detailed analysis of your images as well as recommendations for appointment frequency, length of treatment plan, and lifestyle adjustments, including diet and exercise.
Schilbach Chiropractic is a specific and unique type of chiropractic practice. We focus on the precise correction of a single bone in the Upper Cervical spine called Atlas (also called Cervical 1 or C1). This bone connects the body and spine with the brain. The procedure is called Advanced Atlas Orthogonal.
Anybody who has experienced trauma can benefit from Upper Cervical Chiropractic. Following a fall, car accident, childbirth or other trauma, symptoms can be triggered immediately or can take months or years to develop. These symptoms are a result of an imbalanced nervous system.

The purpose of Upper Cervical Chiropractic is to reverse the trauma-induced, upper neck injury; thereby reducing nerve interference to the nerves surrounding the brain stem and spinal cord and restoring balance and function of the nervous system. After a trauma, a chiropractic evaluation is necessary to evaluate if an Upper Cervical injury is present.
Thermographic evaluation to see if you are holding your adjustment and whether an adjustment is needed. Given the critical role of the nervous system in health and disease, thermography of the paraspinal muscles of the neck is performed on each visit to monitor the response of the nervous system to treatment.

I have suffered for more than several years with persistent lower-back stiffness that frequently flared-up to excruciating and debilitating levels of pain. Acupuncture, medication, hot pads and various patches offered nothing but short lived relief. It wasn’t until after my first several treatments at Schilbach Chiropractic that I had the opportunity to experience a truly pain-free lifestyle. I give full credit to occasional upper-cervical adjustments for this miraculous transformation. Thank you Sarah.
