Our mission at Lil' Lighthouse Christian Academy is to guide children academically and socially to reach age-appropriate milestones within a compassionate, Christian environment by way of hands-on, creative teaching methods. Also, our students will join us in becoming active supporters of our local community.
Heather Roig Camardelle is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a major concentration in early childhood education. She has worked in early childhood education since 2006, as a teacher and director. She is CPR and first aid certified. Jeannie Blocker Parker is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and specializes in Children's Theatre and Behavioral Science.
Our certified teachers use games and activities to assess your baby or toddler's developmental needs. This allows us to plan short-term and long-term goals together with you, their parent. We focus on fine and gross motor skills, social-emotional development, language, self-help skills, along with recognition of letters, numbers, colors, and shapes.
Arts and crafts will be incorporated into our daily activities because they are so beneficial to their development. Art helps them use their imagination, and gives them another avenue to express feelings. Making crafts helps to develop their fine motor skills and critical thinking. A Southeastern University theatre instructor/director is creating a children's theatre program exclusively for our childcare center.

This is a horrible daycare! Do not send your kids here! They are not a Christian Daycare they are liars! I was told 3 different stories about what happened to my son when he was bleeding from his head...because NOBODY WAS IN THE ROOM WATCHING ANY OF THE KIDS so nobody knew what happened and so they fed me lies...I saw the video the IT Man had to send (that I didn’t receive until 4 pm and it happened around noon) and she was not in the room..my son was bleeding from his head for 1min 30sec before anybody checked on him..he was getting comfort from a BOOKSHELF! I find it crazy we live in a world so connected I can locate anyone in seconds and contact them a multitude of ways. Yet people will openly admit they had problems with a business where they left their children and never spoke up. I also have a problem with the fact it’s possible to review a business and hurt their reputation without ever having actually been affiliated.

. While working, Id check the camera every few minutes. On the third day, when I checked the video they were finishing up lunch and turning out the lights for nap time. Suddenly the big lady made a quick movement to my toddler ( video is not crystal clear so I could not say for sure what happened or accus anyone) but right after the quick movement with her arm, my son fell to the ground and was screaming crying. Please keep in mind the video is not crystal clear and no volume but I could see that my toddler was screaming crying on the ground. I left right away for lunch to pick him up. My husband
