Welcome, thank you for taking the time to learn more about Children's Chalet. Since 1994 we have had the pleasure of nurturing, teaching and caring for children on the North Shore. We take pride in our school and the programs we have developed. Offering young children a home like atmosphere where they feel comfortable, provides the perfect opportunity to learn, explore and grow.
Our staff works diligently to meet each individual child's needs so that you, the parent, can go through your day with peace of mind and confidence that your child is being cared for in a loving and respectful manner. Because our student to teacher ratio is low, we can focus on the social and emotional development of your child and ensure they meet and exceed all developmental milestones.

My name is Tracy Delatte and I am the co-owner and director of Children's Chalet. Working with and teaching children has been my passion for as long as I can remember. After years of teaching Pre-kindergarten in Metairie, Louisiana, I decided to open my own preschool. I convinced my mother, Sandy Ingram to join me and we began our quest to open our own center.
Both my children attended Children's chalet from infant's through the Pre-K class. The entire staff and owners are wonderful and caring. I would recommend it to anyone! My children consider them family and that is because Tracy and Kimberly truly care for the children as if they were their own. Our son has been attending Children's Chalet since he was 8 weeks old.

It used to be Rag's Poboy restaurant for a short time around 1986. Facing the front of the building, the right door went into a dining area, the left door went into a Sports Bar. Unfortunately the location behind a car dealership made it hard to do business as a restaurant /sports bar. Later the restaurant moved along LA Rt 22, across the street of Beau Chen community.

I sent my daughter to several daycare centers before finding this one. This has been a great experience for my daughter. All of her teachers have been excellent, she never complains about going to school and is always happy when I pick her up. They really help foster both social and mental growth. The teachers go out of their way to please the kids and all of them know my child. I really love this school!! I will be sad to have her transition in a couple years to kindergarten, I know she will miss it!!
