The drinks were divine, as was the pretzel, lamb, and French fries. However, there were many issues with our meal. The burger was greasy, the fried chicken was dry, and though the lamb marrow was a nice addition, toast or some vessel to eat it would've been nice.
Now desserts. Wth? The mousse was a mess splattered on the plate. The s'mores creme brulee was stuck to the plate, and the true monstrosity was the mixed berry shortcake. This was as big as my head. Who can or wants to eat this? We gave the Craftsman Inn another try after learning there was a new manager. We hope things will improve bc

We enjoy coming here for dinner on the patio. I enjoy the creative cocktails and well prepared food. Service is very professional. A bit high in pricing, but worth it.

The craftsman is a beautiful building that has a luxurious feel to walk through. Browsing the menu the selection feels high end and if you aren't a chef you might have to ask a couple of questions. A lot of locally-sourced products are used in their dishes. The prices are definitely higher for the portion that comes out and my dish was not exactly what I was expecting when I ordered, but it was still very good. I would recommend the craftsman if you are in the mood for a high end dining experience in Fayetteville NY.

The staff was friendly and room appeared nice. But upon pulling back the bed covers, I noticed the sheets were not changed and there was a hair in the bed. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and delicious food.

Great food, good drinks, nice outdoor area for those with covid related fears (big heaters keep it warm even in the cold!).
The most notable part of the dinner was the wait staff. They were highly professional, kind, and took great care to refill drinks the moment they went empty. 5 star service.

Overall very nice stay! Beautiful rooms! Antoinette was very helpful in helping us choose what room would best suit our needs and getting us checked in and explaining everything! The room was perfect! However the water pressure in the shower is very very poor. I could never wash my hair there. Music would at times get very loud at the restaurant and the bass would get annoying inside our room. And after we extended our stay our key cards were never updated, and we got locked out. Honestly all those were more minor annoyances in the grand scheme. I would definitely stay here again though.

Wine was crisp and light, service fabulous, and steaks were perfection. Worth the money to spend and absolutely spectacular overall. There's not enough stars to give. Most definitely will return again!

Hotel was fine. I have no complaints about the facility. However the staff is not trained well. We called a couple hours before check in to review the dog policy and make sure everything would go smoothly at check in. It didn’t. The information we where given on the phone was drastically different then what was presented in person. This place has to get everyone on the same page.

I was there for a lunch conference with my friend Lisa. The lunch was very good there was sandwiches and wraps. Everything was very fresh and tasted delicious there was sugar cookies and brownies for dessert and the brownies were fabulous! I've only been here one other time and that was for dinner on an anniversary and it was exceptional then, so much hasn't changed. Their reputation has always been very good. Sometime I would like to try and stay at the end and be able to rate my experience there. Maybe soon.

Made a reservation over a month ago. When we arrived after driving 6 1/2 hours we were informed that they had become overbooked just as I had made my reservation and did not have a room for us. They said they made a reservation at the Holiday Inn in Dewitt for the same price. The Holiday Inn is a much cheaper hotel with fewer amenities and I could have booked it directly with the hotel and paid much less. The concierge was very rude and said she couldn't help us because we booked through a third party website (hotels.com). No attempt was made to contact us and let us know in the month that

As the United States slowly comes back to a "new" normal and people start to travel again; I hope The Craftsman Inn is open to this feedback. Customer service was important before people stopped traveling, and it will be even more so going forward. This was my second time staying here, and eating here in the past two months. I will not be staying here, or eating here again. After dealing with what felt like an indoor soccer game above our suite the last time we stayed here; we again stayed in one of the suites on the first floor. Turns out that if you are staying on the first floor, you

Me and two friends stayed here for a night for a race in the area. The rooms are very nice, clean and decently priced (split 3 ways at least). The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating and sent a follow up text a few hours after we checked in to make sure we had everything we needed

There was a really nice breakfast spread in the morning with hot oatmeal and a variety of toppings which i haven't seen in a hotel before. There is also a restaurant attached that we didn't eat at but heard good things about

No pool or hot tub here though

I recently went to a wedding/reception at the craftsman inn. As a person in the field of architecture/interior design i was instantly charmed by the attention to detail that was displayed throughout the campus. At one point i asked a manager (i think her name was Kayla) a bit about the furniture and rest of the building. She was incredibly professional, friendly and knowledgeable and proceeded to give us a tour of the whole place.
The food was also great. The catering staff was very prompt, professional and seemed to enjoy their jobs. One guy in particular (i think his name was Jesse) proved to

Absolutely phenomenal on all levels! The hotel itself is stunning and the staff are top tier!! The restaurant has such an amazing atmosphere and phenomenal food. I could have hung out there all day long! We were thoroughly impressed that the General Manager Kelly took the time to visit almost every table just to make certain that we were all being looked after properly! Class act from all the staff!!
If you are local... you've GOT to come and experience it for yourself... if you are just passing through, do yourself a favor and book a room (I was blown away with the suite) and make sure to

I also wen to the restaurant and had lunch. The bar and areas were really cute- great place to get drinks with friends. There is a nice outdoor area with fire places that it looked pretty full at night! I really enjoyed staying here and was really comfortable !

Very nice layout and the comfort of seating is wonderful. The menu has a wide range of options and is great for many tastes. The French onion soup is lovely. Appetizers, salads, soup and entrees have something for everyone. Nice bar and outdoor seating. Parking lot that is convenient and large enough to hold a large number of cars. We will come back again.

I really want to like this place because I genuinely appreciate how much they invested in it, but I can only stand around in a half empty restaurant and get ignored for so long.
Came once before just for drinks and service was chaotic, but at least they had the excuse of being fairly close to their reopening and it was busy.
Tonight was just total disregard for having someone waiting to order.
Doubt they will get a third chance.

I've been here before and had a disappointing brunch and dinner. I remember the Bearnaise sauce for the steak had no Tarragon whatsoever so I got a steak with Hollandaise. They didn't seem particularly concerned. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you don't care what you put in your mouth.

Great remodeled property. Comfortable and modern room and the attached restaurant next door has got an awesome facelift and decor. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the work desk at the hotel in my room had no accessible outlets so I had to work on my nice bed. The restaurant had great food it's just the service takes a while. Excited to see this place continue to improve.

My family and I went here for New year's Eve dinner. We have seen photos of the renovation and wanted to check it out. The place looks beautiful! Big tall ceilings and an open kitchen. Seems to have a lot of chefs or cooks in the kitchen and a lot of people standing in front of the kitchen. Pretty busy/ packed that night ! We all loved the taste of our food and my dad in particular loved the desserts! We only had some issues with the night but we attributed these to the fact it was a new restaurant and still figuring out logistics. We didn't receive soup spoons with our soup and we had

A surreal and disappointing evening.

The Craftsman Wood Grille has been open for about three weeks now, so I had hoped they would have ironed out some of the inevitable issues that take place during the first week. However, it became clear in a few minutes that this was not the case.

The hostess was busy writing on a pad of paper (doing math of all things) while we waited patiently for her to look up and acknowledge us. After two minutes, she did. But, she did it without smiling and without saying a word. We asked if we could be seated in a booth to have a quieter dinner (my wife remarked that

I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away.
Knocked me off my feet. This place was a complete remodel. It looks awesome. The outdoor fire pits looked great from afar. I will check them out when I have more time. The atmosphere was wonderful. Open concept from one end to the other. You can see the cooks doing their thing. The place was packed but that is what you would expect opening night or there is a big problem.
I didn't eat so I will update Saturday. The bar looks amazing. Check the picture.

Went back on Saturday as

All these low reviews are probably from before the Craftsman renovated. This new space is gorgeous and immensely cozy! The fireplace in the lobby and wood and rustic accents add the cutest charm. I've stayed in some very nice hotels and I was impressed by the rooms! They're small but have updated decor, appliances, and a beautiful iron shower. Not even the kind of updated where the space looks really old but you can tell it was renovated - the whole thing looks brand new!

First time staying in this hotel. It's a bit of an old building so don't expect a modern feeling but is a quaint hotel.

Good:
Rooms are clean. Plenty of comfortable pillows. Bathroom was clean too.
They have a welcoming table with flavor water and though I was pretty nice.
They have free coffee and tea by the lobby.
Friendly staff.
Overall, our stay was pleasant.

Need to improve:
They need to upgrade the carpet on the hallway... it look too worn out.
The mattress is on the soft side so I woke up with a sore back .
Bathroom didn't have any washcloth.
No breakfast. They
