All of your teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment of other teeth. Tooth loss doesn't necessarily have to occur as you age, but if you do lose teeth they must be replaced to maintain proper function of your mouth. Fortunately, there are options for correcting tooth loss.
Most dentistry looks like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. We replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth. Where damage to a person's teeth is extreme, and apparently beyond repair, we can use porcelain or porcelain "pasted on gold" crowns to make the smile appear "as new".
We are a mercury-free practice. However, many people still have silver/mercury fillings in their mouths from years past. These fillings are not particularly pleasing to the eye, and we know that by unavoidable design, silver/mercury fillings ultimately result in a weaker tooth structure. Porcelain inlays and Tooth Colored Restorations (onlays) create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable) but also add strength to weakened teeth.
You can think of an implant as a titanium root. A single implant can be used to replace a single missing tooth, and groups of implants can be used to support bridges, or help retain an entire denture. The dental profession considers implants as the standard of care for replacing missing teeth. In other words, implants are the best way to replace missing teeth.
Sealants are a thin coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth - usually the back teeth (the premolars and molars) - to prevent tooth decay. The painted on liquid sealant quickly bonds into the depressions and grooves of the teeth, forming a protective shield over the enamel of each tooth. It bonds directly to the tooth and hardens.

I was traveling and stopped to visit with a friend in Santa Rosa. I had a tooth that had been giving me problems and was hoping it would wait til I returned to Idaho to see my regular dentist! It was getting worse and I needed to continue on to Arizona where I was moving. I didn’t have a dentist established there and my friend referred me to Dr Wilson! I told him my dilemma and he rearranged his schedule to fit me in that afternoon! After a couple hours my tooth was taken care of and I was able to stay on my schedule! I had a bridge done and was very unhappy with the results. I went back to Dr Wilson after the procedure to see if he could fix the bridge and he said that it wasn’t possible to do any better. I paid him $10,000 plus. I finally had my bridge redone by another dentist with great success! I went back to Dr Wilson with hopes of getting a partial rebate, but came back very disappointed. I am posting this so that others will have some information to make a decision. (Written on behalf of my 90 year old mother who doesn’t have a Google account).

Today was the first time in over a year that I had my teeth cleaned due to Covidphobia. It was wonderful. Both my hygienist Danielle and dentist Dr. Wilson treated me with incredibly personal care. Poor communication. Doc has poor patient care, his demeanor was cold. Dentist told me that if I had major work done on my teeth I would avoid root canals. I asked MD Wilson why my teeth were in so much pain he said it was because my roots might have been too long. Wouldn't he have told me this prior to the procedure and explained this to me when reviewing my x-rays? Procedure was done in Sept/Nov of 2019 and my teeth still hurt 7 months later. Referred me to a root canal specialist of his choice. I was so disappointed I went to a to another ortho specialist of my choosing. Instead of two root

Every time I visit the offices of Sean Wilson, DDS, everybody with whom I interact is extremely pleasant and friendly. I've never experienced any significant discomfort. I've never had to wait more than just a few moments for my appointment. As near as I can tell, my teeth are in pretty decent shape, so I believe that they're doing a great job keeping my teeth in good condition. I know that it's a trope that visits to the dentist or the dental hygienist are supposed to be painful, but that is not my experience with this office.

Dr. Wilson and his staff are amazing. I have a pretty strong case of dental anxiety and the laid back, professional atmosphere really helped me. Everyone was attentive and took great care of me. I had a lower wisdom tooth that was mostly broken off, (and very very painful) removed in just a few minutes. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson, and I'll be back on the future!!

A note to the people of Santa Rosa, CA: You are fortunate to have Dr. Sean Wilson (and his staff) serving your community. While I was visiting your area, a very painful dental situation became evident and I was 3,000 miles from my regular dentist (in New York) ... with five more days in your city.

I first went to see Sean Wilson when he took over the patients of Dr David Etchell (he bought the practice from retiring Dr). Dr Etchell was truly great and one of a kind~ a very kind and generous man, with warm chair-side manner. Well what a terrible shock to meet up with the complete opposite who bought his practice~ Dr Wilson. He was the most impatient and rude medical professional I have ever encountered. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Wilson create two new front teeth for me this past spring. It was very hard entrusting any dentist to recreate a 31year old smile that at one time, was my favorite feature.
After a minor fall, I had injured my front tooth, which eventually turned brown. Years and years of bleaching it I decided to look for a dentist that could make me new front teeth. I was nervous to say the least!!!!

I was in the process of searching for a dentist, and I was determined to find a good fit. I have had some bad experiences with other dentists in the past who were unethical and did a terrible job, and that I had to get corrections for. In addition I am new to the area where I currently live and had no recommendations from friends or family. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff who explained the process to me and how to fill out the paperwork. They even meet as a team in the morning to discuss their patients in detail-I have not seen this in a dentists office before

Dr. Wilson is everything you would want in a dentist. Professional, personable, knowledgeable, and understanding. It's easy to get an appointment even on short notice and his staff is superb in the way of patient relations and assisting the doctor chair side. I would never switch to another dentist. Even if I moved over an hour away. Great work, phenomenal vibe, and fairly priced. This is where your mouth should be cared for.

Okay, I HATE going to the dentist. But Dr. Wilson makes things easier. He is very confident, quick and fully competent, and this office is extremely friendly and accommodating. I love his receptionist, she is amazing and has even gone as far as to say she would watch my baby for me while I got my teeth cleaned!!! I'm so glad I found an awesome dentist I can put my trust in, Dr. Wilson and his dental hygienist Melanie are the best! 4 yrs ago I came to his office with 8 cavities (and yes I brush and floss) after getting that taken care of and through their cleaning and recommendations I have had 1 tiny cavity since that time that Dr. Wilson took care of in about 20 painless minutes.

I've been a dental professional since 1994 so I know a lot of good dentists in the Bay Area. I could go to any one of those dentists, but Dr. Wilson is my favorite! He has been my dentist since I met him in San Francisco in 2000. I still live in San Francisco but I drive to Santa Rosa to see him for my dental appointments. I like how he takes the time to explain treatment options and answer any questions I may have.
