I have been working with Darren Edwards since about 2007, just this year we have used him for three events at the same location. Pico Rents, Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1925. Glenn Edwards, grandfather to the current owner William Edwards, Jr., originally founded the medical rental aspect of Pico Rents. In 1945, William Edwards, Sr., ventured into the party arena. In 1967, William Edwards, Jr. took over operations of the company.

I cannot even put into words how incredible Pico Party Rentals and Darren are. He made our wedding dreams come true. He is an absolute magician. We knew we wanted to get married in our friend's backyard but had no idea how we could turn it into a beautiful wedding venue. Until we met Darren. He covered their enormous pool with the most gorgeous plexiglass and turf making it a one of a kind dance floor and party area. He strung lights thoroughout the backyard making it incredibly romantic. All of his rentals are top notch and classy. But more than anything Darren and his team turned our dreams

I called to get a quote and a young lady by the name of Kat answered the phone. She was extremely curt and sometimes rude. Every question I had she gave push back or had a correction. Finally I asked to speak with someone else and she told me they are short staffed and she was the only one there. I asked when someone else would be there and she said she didn't know. I would think she'd be happy things are opening up and people are having parties again. In my experience with people like her, they usually get it together if a customer asks to speak with someone else. Not Kat, she continued

We get it, you are running a business just like us and not everything will go as planned. We are more than willing to work with companies and vendors to get mistakes corrected just so we can have a successful event using your services but your employee's telephone etiquette just needs a whole lot of polishing. We rented a stage, it got delivered with extra fee because we need to work within the window of time the venue allows then gets a wobbly stage that is unsafe to use. Called to get this fixed and we get to be on hold for a long time when we call and gets rushed when we speak to your representatives

Don't use this company: Pico Party Rents tried to add a $250 fee to my order the day before delivery, that they claimed was due to the delivery time. Previous to this communication, I had 2 calls, 3 emails, and input the original online request form with all delivery information, and received a quote that Pico Party Rents would not honor.
I was disappointed when speaking with the manager Bill that he did not express any concern or apologies when I attempted to discuss and rectify the matter, especially since I was a repeat customer.

My wife needed to organize a large charity event and the past person chairing the event recommended Pico Rentals. Seeing as this was her first experience with them and her being a very detailed person I can only say that if she was ranting about how helpful they were then they deserve a call out for great work and customer support.

If I could give these people 10 stars I would. They performed beyond my expectations.
I kept changing the order and my staffer, Adriana, never lost patience with me. Each time she would send me an updated invoice with the additions or subtracted items. The delivery was right on time and the workers went right to work, carrying in the tables and chairs, stringing 50 ft of lights in the back yard, and setting up a flood light to light the patio at night.
If I had one thing to say, it would be that it would have been nice if they had set up the chairs at the tables. The head guy told me they don

I have known and worked with with Bill for years and was always given top notch service. Since Pico moved I have not used them as much, however I used them over the holiday season to rent a bed for an out of town guest. The mattress is covered with heavy plastic (NO BED BUGS) and it appeared to be very clean, however I sanitized it for safety reasons(can't take any chances, after all it is a rented bed).
The bed frame is strong and looks new and does not scratch your floor and the guest said it is comfortable for a short term stay, I ordered a twin size and the twin size sheets fit perfect

My review is long overdue as we have been loyal Pico Party rental clients. We have worked with Darren and his crew for most of our birthday parties (among others) , starting when the kids were 3 years (they are now 14).
Last night, we had our first bday party outside of our residence. It meant dealing with venue rental people and other variables can affect the outcome of an event. Excellent family owned party rental company! I see their trucks on the road all the time and They always arrive on time and pick up on time. I have done a lot of events with them and their service and staff are knowledgeable from their experienced sales staff, office staff and working staff. They always come through on their promisea ans have done a lot of red carpet events, private parties and family parties. Will always rent from them. Great Service!!!

AWFUL I just after 6 years asked them to tent my deck and it's a small area and they said they couldn't do it... Without even looking or giving me an estimate its because they didn't want to do the work and its completely a disaster there unorganized I will NEVER go back they just lost a good customer. Im really disappointed. Mean while PREMIER PARTY RENTALS was more then happy to accomodate me and take the time to help me and weren't RUDE on the phone to me. SO dissapointing after all these years but I guess they dont care how they treat loyal customers. TIME FOR A CHANGE
