My family and I frequent this place for dinner and just also tried the buffet recently. It is absolutely the best Punjabi restaurant food in Middle TN with the best flavors and extra spice that you can add yourself if you like that. It’s not too greasy or salty at all. We also eat gluten free and vegan, which they gladly accommodate. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They recognize us when we come in and remember our preferences, making us feel like family with them. Nice ambiance. The best of everything. We love to return again and again

Amazing Indian food! Do not pass up the chance to eat here. Wonderful service. I love the presentation of the curry with a candle to keep it warm.

Wonderful find right in the Franklin / Brentwood corridor! We had a late student basketball game to attend for my wife's school so we needed to grab some food on an impromptu date night (since we hadn't been able to get out recently).

Ambiance:
Typical Indian decor with a quaint and comfortable atmosphere along with a nice low set of traditional Indian music playing.

Service:
Service was also very good. We were seated promptly and had our drink orders taken right away. Food orders came right on top of our drinks arriving which was also nice.

Food:
My wife ordered the chicken tikka

Amazing! The food and service here are both excellent. We were seated and served quickly, the food was divine, and we received half a dozen flowers on our way out. An absolute must-eat for anyone who enjoys Indian food.

This place is a gem! The staff are very helpful and friendly. JP was our server and he was funny and kind. I was grateful that he actually gave me the spice level I asked for - most places don't.

As for the food - great! The quality is good and the flavors are rich. It's definitely the best Indian food in the Franklin area! I've been here a couple times and they are consistent. Also, try the chai tea with coconut milk!

This once excellent restaurant has gone downhill dramatically over the last few years.
The last 2 times, last evening and a takeout order a few months ago leave us pining for the way it was.
The chicken in the chicken tika was dry because they overcooked it.
The Saag in our takeaway was disgusting.
If we had been there instead of home, we would have sent it back.
I don't know what happened. We used to love going there. Next time, we'll drive further and go to TAJ.

Been coming since the owner from Bombay Palace moved his business here in Franklin. All staff his neatly dressed and polite. The owner is just a dreamboat. The food is freshly made and very well spiced. They accommodate for those who have allergies. They will always remember regulars like me.
Negative review: Come to Spring Hill please.

The food here is amazing, but the food came second to the customer service. The owner took time to chat with me and offered my wife and I hot chai for the road. I cannot say enough good things about House of India! It's family owned and family operated, our waiter (the owner's son) was very kind and accommodating. He took time to pack up our leftovers for us and even through in some extra "goodies." I love House of India

So happy that we got to eat here again. Last we came here on our passing through Nashville, we ordered to go. And we loved the food so much, so we decided to have dining in experience this time. The foods were fantastic, i had chicken tikka masala and hubby got their vegetable korma. They were all so delicious. We also loved their naan and mango lassi.. yum. And at the end they served us complimentary rice pudding which was amazing compared to another rice pudding we had in other Indian restaurant. The service was very quick and very sweet. We love the whole family business dynamic. We definately

My wife and I took our 5 kids (ages 4-15) here last night for dinner and it was a wonderful experience! I cannot recommended House of India enough... You have to eat here if you haven't yet.
When we arrived, the restaurant ambience was welcoming and pleasant, and the staff are all very friendly and attentive.
We were seated at a large corner booth that had plenty of room for everyone in my family to sit comfortably.
We ordered Chicken Pakora for the 4 and 7 year old when we put in our drink order, and those were delivered to the table a few minutes after all the drinks were delivered. (If you

I was kind of driving aimlessly looking for a new place to eat when I saw House of India and was like “Curry!!!!”
Nice place with amazing smells coming from the kitchen and a fairly good crowd for a late lunch.
I had the Lunch Special:
Chicken Tikka Masala, Veg Korma, Chana Masala, Naan Bread, Pulao Rice, Kheer (Rice pudding) and Hot Tea.
I ordered spicy and got a look like “Are you sure?” I eat Vindaloo all the time and know my spice threshold.
Food was good but I did not get my tea and I had to flag the server down to get a refill on water. Plate was nicely loaded and all the flavors

A bit off the mark. While the lamb and chicken dishes were cooked well the sauces were very thin (almost watery) and lacked spice. I ordered lamb vindaloo an 8 in heat level, asked 3 times in my notes. It came a 4.
The Naan was good as was portion although the vindaloo had one potato in it. What happened here? You were my favorite in Franklin having been in or take out probably 25 times. I sent Ron a note offline to discuss but he never answered. He used to answer any question personally and quickly.
Until you get things straightened out I will try a couple of the new places that have opened up

My husband and I stopped by House of India with friends while we were visiting Nashville. What a wonderful find! The environment is clean, festive, and well-lit with beautiful crystal chandeliers. The owner of the establishment treated us like family. He constantly checked on our table to ensure we were taken care of during our stay. The food is impressive. Authentic Punjabi cuisine. They don't hold back on flavor, so if you enjoy food that is rich and stimulating, you won't be disappointed.
There’s plenty of vegetarian and non-veg options!
We'll be back. That’s a promise! 👌🏾

I'm not even finished with my meal yet, but this is so good I have to say something right now!!!
The salad is fresh diced crisp veggies that are perfectly spiced.
The (fried) chicken pakora (tenders) that we ordered for our toddler were so tender and juicy that they beat most of the hot chicken places we've tried in Nashville.
The Mulligatawny soup tastes like they roasted the lentils, then pureed them, and then frothed them...it is like having a latte. It is incredible - warm, smooth, and the perfect amount of saltiness.

Post Covid this place is still delicious! Went for lunch during the week and although they don't have their lunch buffet during the week, it was still delicious and offered a good variety. You can either order their lunch special (worth it) or from their regular menu.

We ordered the vegetable samosa to start and still delicious. They have two options you can choose for lunch: a meat or vegetarian option and we got both. Both were equally good. The tray came with a curry and other dishes, rice naan and a rice pudding for about $12-$13. It was so worth it. Food was delicious and the tray was

This is my favorite restaurant in town, bar none. I discovered it through its lunch buffet when I worked in cool springs. That was five years ago and I haven't found better Indian anywhere. We've been here at least fifteen times and have never had a bad meal.

And to top it off, the people are the nicest at any restaurant I've ever been to. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Basically I got takeout once. I got a big variety hoping I would like most of it & have the rest as leftovers. It was tasty & most of it made good leftovers. From what I've heard & my one experience & research it's the best Indian restaurant in the area.

This is the second time I have eaten at House of India and it was better than the first time! The atmosphere is wonderful! The restaurant team has top notch customer service. We never had to ask for refills or anything. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
When you are seated, they provide hand sanitizer for each table. Also each table has fresh flowers! I live this touch!! They serve you papadon and dipping sauces (tamarind, onion chutney, mint chutney, and red pepper chutney - not sure but it's my favorite.
We ordered the vegetable pakora as an appetizer- I loved it! The onion, potato, and

Love love love House of India.

First time here, and let me tell you they met any and all expectations. The ambiance is very nice, the dining room is spaced out and the atmosphere is great. The waitresses/waiters were all extremely accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. We came to surprise my mom for her birthday and drove from Huntsville because we had heard of many positive things.

The vegetable pakora was delicious, I really liked the cauliflower. The papadum and the different sauces/chutney served as well was perfect. But the main highlight is the entrees.

At the table we

Last weekend we were in the area and we have to stop by fire to-go order. We order through the phone and they have the curbside pick up. It was pretty to order on the phone I recommend giving your name and car model so there is no issue. My only complaint was then they gave us the bag of food it was not the correct order it was for the car beside us. We gave the bag right away but for health and safety reasons if I was the other car I would take the food out of its container and place it on a Tupperware and disinfect everything the bag touched.

The food was flavorful. We ordered chicken tikka
