Services
Houston Dermatology Associates is an adult and pediatric dermatologic practice. As the only private dermatology practice in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, we have been offering quality medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, generation after generation, since 1981. We have some of the best dermatologists in Houston.
D., is a board-certified dermatologist with Houston Dermatology Associates, P.A. She provides medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology to patients of all ages. Dr. Rabinovich earned her M.D. and Ph. D. degrees from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in New York City. Her doctoral research focused on molecular and cellular biology with a concentration in viral vaccine immunology.
Zena Zoghbi, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who practices medical and cosmetic dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at Columbia University Medical Center and practiced in New York City and New Jersey before moving to Houston and joining Houston Dermatology Associates. Dr. Zoghbi's clinical interests include acne, eczema, psoriasis, pediatric dermatology, and early detection and treatment of skin cancer.
We are pleased to offer photodynamic therapy for the treatment of actinic keratosis (pre-cancerous legions of the skin). This FDA approved treatment is performed in the office using a photoactive agent and a blu-light source. It is an alternative to traditional therapies such as liquid nitrogen or patient-applied topical creams.
Skin cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers. It is estimated that more than one million Americans develop skin cancer every year. Sun avoidance is the best defense against skin cancer. Over exposure to sunlight (including tanning) is the main cause of skin cancer especially when it results in sunburn and blistering.
