What began as the Minneapolis Star Employees Credit Union in 1931 has flourished into Star Choice Credit Union-- a strong, healthy, stable financial institution. With our rich heritage of newspaper employees, we were able to grow the credit union to where we are today. Because of this growth over the years, we are now able to open our doors to others.

Services
Commonly known as a CD, a Certificate of Deposit is a safe way to empower your money and maximize your return. Star Choice Credit Union offers tiered certificates, so the higher your initial deposit the higher the dividend rate. To open a Build it! CD, the account requires direct deposit of at least $40 a month; maximum of $1,000.
Investors Checking Silver: A minimum of $500 is required to open an Investors Silver account. A $5 fee will be charged any month during which the balance falls below the minimum on any given date. The minimum balance of $500 is required to obtain the disclosed Annual Percentage Yield (APY). Monthly dividends will be paid on balances of $50,000 or less.
An HSA gives you more flexibility and control over your health care costs. Use pre-tax dollars to pay for future medical expenses. You will be able to deduct your contributions to your HSA, and the account earnings will accumulate on a tax-deferred basis. Best of all, distributions from your HSA are tax-free if they are used for qualified medical expenses.
To begin your credit union relationship with Star Choice, you will first need to open a Prime Share Savings Account. When you open a Prime Share Savings Account, you become an owner and member of the credit union. Star Choice Credit Union has numerous savings accounts to meet your individual or family needs.
Star Rewards is our member referral program that encourages members to refer their family members, co-workers and others who are eligible to join Star Choice Credit Union. Refer a family member, co-worker or neighbor to Star Choice Credit Union and you will receive $25 in your account. Maximum referral amount, per calendar year is $2001.
