Nathan S. Collier founded The Collier Companies with the intent to create a different kind of workplace - one with a true sense of community, a place that is a joy to live and work, and a place where Team Members truly care about each other as individuals and demonstrate that every day, in part by the depth of their commitment to quality, excellence and customer service.
He then continued to steadily expand his real estate portfolio, acquiring three or four properties each year, championing the entrepreneurial energy that is integral to our company's success. By January of 1980, Collier had earned a strong reputation along with the trust of local investors and lenders.
In business, staying connected with your team can result in positive results for not only the team member but the organization as well. No business knows this like The Collier Companies, the largest private owner of student housing in the nation and a leader in the multifamily housing field. Founded in 1972 by Gainesville-based Real.
In 2019, Nathan S. Collier challenged our company to grown twice its size in the coming decade. He often refers to this as The Collier Companies "moonshot goal" or our 2X Challenge. The goal is focused on diversifying product type through the 1-4 corridor of Florida, through development of market rate apartment homes, as well as, acquiring at least one asset a year to The Collier Companies core portfolio.

Since day of moving in my friend and I have been complaint of a cockroach infestation. It doesn’t matter to them. I asked to transfer apartments but they tried to charge me 200+$ for their own fault. They allow people to move into trashed, infested apartments.
The next thing is my windows have been leaking rust for months. The maintenance man said himself that my window was broken. They keep saying they will fix it but never have. I’m not going to pay them for rust leaking and staining their carpets and window sill.
Some staff are friendly but others are real young and talk bad about the

They say their employees come first and that they are taken as a high priority but I can say firsthand that is blatantly untrue. They treat employees like complete garbage disregarding their needs. I worked for them personally and was promised a 1500 dollar sign on bonus that never came. Along with an extra 100 for getting "vaccinated". I still have yet to see either payment.

I lived at Collier Companies for 3 years, at three different apartments. The first two were okay, but the last one was quite awful. Which is why I did not resign with a Collier company after the third year. 95% of the issues revolved around management, as most of the other reviews here also explain, so I won't go into detail because it's quite a long list. I know they have my number, so Collier Companies, if you're reading this, please feel free to call me and we can discuss the countless issues your apartments have.

My husband and I are current residents of Highlands at Heathbrook in Ocala. It is a lovely complex and we absolutely love it here. The office staff at Highlands is great. The amenities are wonderful. It is a comfortable and safe place to live. However, our rent for a 1BR is going up by nearly $350. We were only given a week to decide if we would accept the price and renew the lease, or else the amount would increase by even more. Not only is the cost ridiculous, but it is CRIMINAL how they did not give us a fair amount of time to decide. We had no choice but to accept the offer, as we were not

I pay rent the third of each month. Physically delivering the payment. This company is messing with my credit reporting NSF fees that are erroneous and late payment fees. I have bank statements to prove the payments and there are no NSF charges on my account but nothing has been done to rectify it. They sent me a third 2 day vacate notice. Is it time for me to contact an attorney?

This company only cares about money. My rent went up over 200$ A MONTH and if I don't accept that " offer" then it goes away, and my rent becomes God knows how much! I was informed just yesterday via email. I've been given a week notice to decide, and it's the week of Christmas! The office isn't even open for most of that time so realistically I only have a few days to figure this out! How could they be so heartless! I've lived here for years! Always pay rent on time, and I'm clean and quiet. I live in an old apartment with issues... it's definitely not worth 1300+ a month. Why are you doing this

RENTER BEWARE!!
We had multiple issues with this company since we moved in. Just a few to list: The dog park is atrocious, the building foundations are sinking into the ground and the first floor floods, and they make excuses every time you try to confront them about a problem they neglected to address. I have lived in a lot of different places and this experience was by far one of the worst. You pay astronomical prices to live in a run-down, cockroach infested apartment. Highly DO NOT recommend The Polos of Gainesville and the Collier Companies.

Rented 2/2 at Canterbury Circle. Bath/Shower has only hot water meaning it cannot be used without being scalded. Management has been notified a number of times since our June 2021 move-in and HAVE DONE NOTHING to repair. They avoid all attempts to contact them by hiding behind answering service and other call screeners. Just TERRIBLE!!!!!
