As a practice specializing in endodontic care, Dr. Deborah Bishop and her skilled team are dedicated to partnering with patients to relieve discomfort and improve dental health. We take the time to carefully examine our patient's area of concern to offer a complete and accurate diagnosis. Most importantly, we go through the entire area for concern, treatment options, and discomfort relief techniques carefully.
We believe an informed patient will make the best choices for their oral health, so we do our utmost to make sure patients have the whole picture before we begin treatment. Our team cares about the individual needs of each patient and we will care for each one with respect and honesty. An endodontist focuses on treatments that deal with inside of the tooth.

Services
When you experience severe toothache caused by painful breaks, fractures, or infection that impact the innermost layers of your teeth, you need an endodontist with specialty training in caring for the interior parts of teeth. The most common procedure performed by endodontists is the root canal which significantly relieves the discomfort associated with the infection of the inner layers of teeth known as pulp.
For Margaret, the best part of her job at our practice is helping others. She has about 35 years of industry experience and completed the Dental Hygiene Program at UAB. She is CPR certified and has advanced training in business management. She enjoys being part of our great dental team, and we're happy to have her!
Endodontists are dentists who specialize in treatments for the inner parts of teeth, specifically root canal therapy. After completing undergraduate studies and earning a doctoral degree in dentistry, an additional two to three years of endodontic study is required. This advanced education and hands on training allows an endodontist to perform even the most advanced endodontic procedures.
Your average dentist may perform about two root canal procedures a week, if at all. However, there's a good chance that they'll refer you to an experienced endodontist such as Dr. Bishop instead. This is because when it comes to treating and stopping infections that have taken root deep inside the dental structure, an endodontist will have far more training and experience to help them in the process of saving your smile.
No one really looks forward to having root canal therapy performed, but it's important to recognize when it might be necessary. If you delay treatment for too long or leave the issue unidentified, the consequences could be a permanent loss of teeth and an infection that spreads to other parts of your body.

Dr. Bishop and all her staff are a 10/10. She repaired my failed root canal that was infected that was done by a general dentist 2 years ago. Prior to Dr. Bishop, I had a very hard time getting numb and always had some level of pain at the dentist, but this time I felt no pain at all!!! I was very nervous prior to going to Dr. Bishop, but I was given some pills prior to the procedure and slept through most of the procedure. The staff is absolutely amazing, everyone took their time, explained everything, they are absolutely genuine, and I feel like they are now part of my church family. I was very

Dr. Deborah Bishop and her staff are outstanding. She accepted me on an emergency basis as a referral for a difficult (extremely narrow) root canal requiring Microsurgery. I was very impressed with her and her entire staff. They all enjoy their job, work well together and know their profession. Highly recommended for anyone with a fear of root canals, or if you just need this done extremely well.

My wife had one of the worst experiences here. Ms. Bishop overbooks her appointments. I confirmed this with two other patients in the waiting area. We had arrived shortly before our appointment and after 30 minutes my wife was called into one of the dentistry rooms. However, after waiting 1 1/2 hours my wife received the first of two numbing medication shots to her gum. Bishop left the room to attend to other patients, returned 1 1/2 hours later and provided the 2nd numbing shot and shortly initiated the root canal. At this point the initial medication was wearing off and the 2nd hadn't quite

Went in today for a root canal. I was super nervous since I’ve heard the painful stories everyone’s shared. But, the staff here really made me laugh and have a good time. I felt comfortable being there and happy to get a bunch of laughs in. Not only that but Dr. Bishop explained the whole process to me which I really appreciated.
Thank you all for being so nice and welcoming and helping to relieve my tooth pain. Was able to get it done and head back to work to finish the day.
