Dr. Michael S. Bold is a graduate of Illinois College of Optometry. As a TPA (Theurapeutics) Certified Optometrist. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the California Optometric Association (COA). With over twenty four years of optometric experience, Dr. Bold has two practices.

Using a variety of techniques, to achieve the best results and listening to you, we as a team want you to get the most out of your visit.
Dr. Bold offers pre-operative and post operative consults for patients who may require Lasik eye surgery in La Palma. During your initial consultation he will assess your eyes and determine the most likely outcomes from your surgery based. Your medical history and the potential benefits and small risk of complications will be discussed with you so that you can make the best decision for YOU.
This eye test is most necessary for those people who are at the highest risk of developing eye disease. Your optometrist will inform you if you are potentially one of those people and will recommend a pupil dilation eye exam. To make your pupils dilate the eye doctor will add a few drops into your eyes, once these take effect the optometrist will be able to examine the internal structure of each eye.
Macular Degeneration is often referred to as ARMD or AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration) as it is found most often in older people. Part of the eye's retina, the Macular enables focus and centralization of vision when performing everyday tasks. As the Macular degerates so the loss of central vision becomes more apparent.

Dr. Bold was friendly and very personable. He took the time to explain what the problem was and his treatment plan has been very effective. The price is reasonable, which I appreciated because it made it easier for me to build my budget around being able to afford this service in addition to other things that are necessary in life.
