Michael Ivers opened Lake Minnetonka Complete Marine Services in 2006 after 8 years of working at other marinas around the lake. He felt that none of these marinas offered the level of service he felt was necessary. Michael grew up in Minnetonka and graduated from Minnetonka High School.
He attended Hennepin Technical College during high school for marine and motor sports and attended American Marine Institute in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1997 and 1998.Michael has been through numerous factory schools including Mercruiser, Mercury, Volvo, OMC and has attained Master Mechanic status with Mercruiser.

We also offer epoxy water barrier, antifouling bottom paint and other epoxy coatings. We recommend using an Interlux Interprotect bottom system top coated with anti-fouling paint for boats moored in the water or top coated with a high performance epoxy coating for trailered boats and boats kept on lifts.

I had exceptional service from Lake Minnetonka Complete Marine for my winterization and storage. Mike, the owner, arrived at the launch to take my boat out in the Fall exactly on time. In the Spring, I inquired about getting my boat in as soon as he could, and he was very accommodating. The winterization was thorough....no hard sell...just suggestions to keep in mind for the future. And the total cost for the winterizing/storage package was hundreds less than some other estimates I had.

I brought my boat this morning to Complete Marine to get a quote for some gelcoat work on a neighbor’s recommendation. Having worked in the marine industry for about ten years, I knew approximately what I should be charged for the work. Mike was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly resourceful. If I could give Lake Mtka Complete Marine 6 stars, I would. Very friendly folks, incredibly knowledgeable, high-quality work, and very reasonable pricing. Turn-around time was phenomenally fast. Called them up with a brief description of my issues (leaky bellows on an older Mercruiser) and they knew immediately what needed to be done and recommended the right repairs. Scheduled a drop-off for one week later and had the boat back in less than two days. Amazing. Don’t bother calling or going anywhere else - this is the place!

Its not often you find great customer service like what's found at Complete Marine. Mike and his team of professionals are more than accommodating with providing a comprehensive review of your boat and trailer in terms you can understand. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. As a new customer I was thrilled with the recommendations that were made and secondly with the work that was completed. Recommendations for maintenance where I was actually shown where the issues were and also recommendations that will save me money in the long run.
