Valley View Vineyard & Winery
Located near the nationally recognized historic town of Jacksonville, in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon, Valley View was originally established by pioneer Peter Britt in the 1850's. The winery ended with Britt's death in 1906. The name was restored in 1972 by Frank and Ann Wisnovsky and family for their vineyard and winery planted in the beautiful Applegate Valley just nine miles from Jacksonville.

The Applegate and Rogue Valleys offer a large variety of soil types and micro-climates that allow a great diversity of grape varieties to be grown. Because the Applegate Valley is considerably sunnier, warmer and drier than elsewhere in western Oregon, Valley View concentrates on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Viognier, Syrah and Tempranillo at our estate vineyard.

The lady serving me her name was Sara was extremely rude, very unprofessional and not one time did she wash her a hands & kept touching her face, hair etc. I notice she wasn’t nice to anyone not just me and also over heard her bad mouthing the customers and talking down in the management there. It made me very uncomfortable and also the others around me too. They had mentioned they won’t be returning either. If you keep this girl you will guarntee to keep losing business. She was also super slow and a lot of time just stood around not doing anything when customers clearly had empty glasses

I spend a lot of time at the wineries around the Southern Oregon area. I also have tasted wines around the world. Sara was the person serving me my tasting and she was absolutely incompetent to being in the wine industry. The wine was just okay. I would not recommend this as a winery go to.

Pretty building and as I don’t drink I can’t comment on that aspect but the server should not pet guests dogs without washing her hands before she serves guests.

Purchased a bottle of the rogue read from Vancouver Costco. I had previously purchased it and thought it tasted good ,not great, but for the price it seemed fairly decent. However, the most recent bottle we received had a very chemical taste and smell to it. Was going to serve it at a dinner party but nobody could drink it so it ended up going down the drain. Will not purchase again .

I think they have some of the better, if not best, wines in the valley. And, they have a great location with great valley views! Staff was very friendly!
