D aisy Creek Vineyard, named for the meandering stream which flows through the property from its source high in the mineral-rich Siskiyou Mountains to its end in the Rogue River, is located on the eastern boundary of the historic gold rush town of Jacksonville, Oregon. Suffused with history, the vineyard itself surrounds and spans the remnants of a slurry mine where turn of the century prospectors sifted the sands and gravels of Daisy Creek looking for gold.
Today, these sands, rocks, gravels and rich amalgam of minerals swept down from the mountains over millenia with them comprise treasure of a different kind, the unique soil which nurtures our vines and makes instantly recognizable the wines produced from the Daisy Creek Vineyard - our terroir.

Services
I n 1994, a retired couple, Russ and Margaret Lyon, purchased 23 acres of hay meadow just east of Jacksonville, Oregon and began Daisy Creek Farm. The Lyons planted two acres of grapes, grew and baled hay and built a house and a barn. Over the next 26+ years of blood, sweat and tears, they slowly added to what is now Daisy Creek Vineyard.

My Favorite in the Rogue Valley because of the owners, incredible wine and the amazing staff! The Vineyard backs my property and unlike "the woman" who complained about the vineyard being so close to her home, this makes it, ever more special for us!!
Russ and Margaret are brilliant wine makers who we now consider part of our family...Salute'

Socially-distanced tables underneath apple trees with a view and n the vineyards & live music in the middle. No tasting flights right now but I was dithering between 2, told the waitress which ones I was debating between, & asked her advice. She selected one (which I accepted) and brought me a taste of the other to compare. Lovely wines & lovely service! (I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because 1 of the servers was wearing her mask under her nose)

Nothing special. Just like any other tasting room. Nothing too special. They were pushing their 2013 Malbec and counting Down the available bottles but personally I did not find it pleasing.
Can I just say the truffle pig is amazing??? They're a food cart the winery had outside and their food was SO good!!!! Talked with the owners a bit and they do private events and weddings. Be sure to look them up: food is delish!!!!

Amazing vineyard hidden behind a nice newer neighborhood! CAME on a Friday and had the pleasure of being served by Susie. She was super sweet, friendly and a joy to talk to while we tasted some amazing red wines! We also saw the owner Russ tending to the grape vines. He's 80 and still working hard out in 100 degree weather! That's why these wines are so good! My favorite was the merlot reserve and syrah!

This was our absolute favorite vineyard during our visit to the Southern Oregon wine region. We loved the wines, the vineyard dogs, the owners (Russ and Margaret) and unpretentious / inclusive atmosphere. Beautiful property and a favorite of the locals / nearby neighbors. Reasonably priced wines. Highly recommend the Lyon Red, Merlot Reserve, Petite Veridot, Malbec and Syrah (we are red wine drinkers so we didn't try the whites).
Looking forward to returning for their next wine club (despite the long haul from SF). It is well worth the drive! Call ahead since the tasting room is only open from

If you want to experience a quintessential vineyard in Southern Oregon...this is it!
I grew up in Southern Oregon during the "wine boom" and have seen many wineries and vineyards try to church up their wine with fancy tasting rooms and ostentatious wine descriptions. Daisy Creek seems to invest more in making high quality wine than its flamboyant facade. I would highly recommend you visit Russ and Margaret on your next wine excursion.

All good wines very consistent. The rosé was very nice with strong flavors of cherry and a nice aftertaste. Syrah, viognier and even merlot. This winery had a variety of wines to offer.
Easy drinking and very enjoyable! The tasting room is cute considering the location. It is shared with Madrone Mountain so see my review for that place ; )
