Dixie started at WVH as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 1995. She remembers visiting the hospital as a little girl when Dr. Engel took care of her Dad's coonhounds. Early on she had a love of animals and it didn't take long to discover her career path. She graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1982 and interned at WVH in 1981.
Hi! I'm Dr. Janet Gildner, one of the small animal veterinarians here at Whitewater Veterinary Hospital. I have practiced for 31 years now, after attending the University of Wisconsin Madison for both undergrad and veterinary school. I am a native Wisconsinite and enjoy animals (big surprise there!), plants, kayaking, camping, bicycling, and spending time with my three grown kids and friends.

We are a full service hospital emphasizing preventative medicine including annual examinations, up-to-date vaccine protocols, parasite prevention, dental care, nutrition, and weight management. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of outside reference laboratories.

Records of any prescription items (including food) are imported into your pet's medical record. Auto-ship option - you set a timeline for future shipments to be sent directly to your home.
