At the end of each day, all remaining cupcakes and treats are given to local non-profits and philanthropies and we begin baking again the very next morning. We would never sell "day old" or discounted product and guarantee that as our guest, you are enjoying the freshest delights baked just hours within your visit.

If my girlfriend died and went to heaven I imagine that this is where she would expect to wake up. To ensure you receive your treats as fresh as possible, we're currently offering shipping on Monday - Wednesday every week. We realize this may be an inconvenience and are currently working hard to find a way to have our treats to you faster.
You may choose from a wide variety of services, including engagement party treats, custom cakes & cupcakes, groom's cakes, dessert tables, individually bagged wedding favors, hotel room amenities for your sweet guests, and much more! No event is too small or large for BIRD bakery. Whether you are planning an intimate dinner party or a corporate gathering, we work closely with you to design a custom menu for your guests.

I ordered a dozen assorted cupcakes and they were by far, the worst I have ever had. The cake was as dry as the Sahara, clumpy, and basically inedible. These cupcakes were such a disappointment! How does Bird Bakery continue to run a shop in Highland Park? I could have gotten a Nothing Bundt Cake for a quarter of the price and gotten a moist, delicious cake. Also, I ordered sprinkles on the cupcakes, and not one sprinkle was added to any of them.
What a horrific experience at Bird Bakery. I won't be returning.

We absolutely suggest doing a tasting with Bird Bakery - they were incredible! We got a full tasting and it was so cute! If you need a break from wedding planning, take your honey on a cute tasting date and try their amazing cakes!
We chose Bird for our wedding cake because we have loved stopping in for cupcakes. We plan on visiting on our 1 year anniversary to continue our support rather than saving our top tier, fresh cake is always better!
We did a custom cake - yellow with citrus cream cheese and lemon icings alternating. Oh my gosh, y'all it was amazing!

This was a-freaking-mazing! I was in a pinch looking to get a cheesecake for my partners birthday - celebrating in San Antonio. I called and they were able to accommodate my last minute request and did they deliver! I picked it up and was amazed at how good it looked. Everyone loved it! It was a serious hit - even the partner who knows a good cheesecake. Thank you!

This has been one of my fave bakeries for the past couple years. I love how artsy and creative the employees are with setting up the restaurant as well as the food. I also admire how the employees are so young but manage the traffic so well. I know covid has made business more difficult but they've done an awesome job keeping the place up and bringing business in. Personal recommendations: chocolate chip walnut cookie and the red velvet cupcakes.

The days of popping in for a quick wonderful experience seem to be over. It takes almost 30min just to get your food and it's lackluster at best. The staff clearly doesn't care to be there and good luck actually finding a clean table. It's sad as it has always been my favorite food spot in HPV. I've given them so many more opportunities but I'm officially done.

This location is in a fabulous high end outdoor mall. Unfortunately, this store was very dirty and short staffed. The floors and tables were dirty and garbages over flowing. It had been an obvious problem for quite a while and not just one busy day. It was pretty bad. Eventually a worker cleared the table but never wiped it down. Nothing was being wiped down and table tops and floors hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were delicious. The cupcakes tasted a day or two old. Ordered ahead ,( 20 minutes )for pick up and was ready to pay . The person taking orders gave priority to the long line that was still undeceive on their order and flat out ignored me . Is it because I wasn't white? I had to go to back of the long line - stuck up snobby staff. I love my SA location wayyy better. Never having this food again. So many others that treat ALL people with respect.

Today I visited Bird Bakery after trying to reach them via telephone for 3 days in a row to check what gluten free options you have and make sure there were any left before I drove 35 minutes. I stood in line for 10+ minutes, watched many people ahead of me leave and grumble about the lack of attention we customers were receiving. It is my birthday, so we waited til finally one of the several not busy sales associates could tell us there were no gluten free cupcakes. Haven't even mentioned to you that I already wrote an email regarding the gluten free cupcakes and was assured by Christina

I gave 2 stars only because place is beautiful and the staff is nice and the presentation of the food is great. The actual food is not good at all. I have been back more than once thinking I came on a bad day. The cupcakes are hard and dense. The frosting is way too sweet. The chips were good, but they are store bought. The sandwich bread is as hard as the cupcakes are.

At the recommendation of a coworker I stopped by this bakery... best decision I've made all week. I got the california turkey sandwich and substituted my chips for tomato soup, YUM! Also caved and ordered three mini cupcakes (coconut vanilla, coconut chocolate, and seasonal nutella). Overall, great experience and very cute shop in the middle of a great part of town. Highly recommend!!!

First of all, the aesthetics of this cute bakery are on point. They totally fit their of highland park village. There are so many dessert options, from cupcakes, to brownies, to cookies, etc. I went with the Mexican hot chocolate brownie- YUM....the taste was spot on. Very dense and chocolatey with the spices of Mexican hot chocolate. I also got the snow bird- which is their version of an affogato. That's was also SO GOOD. The size of it was very good compared to other spots that offer affogatos. It is two scoops of ice cream, espresso , and caramel. My friend got a hot latte and a walnut

Bird Bakery is pretty decent! The Mexican Hot Chocolate Brownie is one of the best brownies I have ever had from a bakery. The sandwiches and cupcakes are pretty good as well. The lattes from here are alright, with their special of the salted caramel latte being too sweet. I do enjoy coming here for a quick snack, but it is nothing too unique.

This was my first time trying Bird Bakery. The place was clean, the presentation of the cupcakes and the other desserts were presentable and the staff were polite. I tried the lemon, fresh strawberry and salted carmel cupcake. They were all just okay. They were semi-moist. They all had the SAME yellow cake base, but with a different flavor frosting. My expectation was TOTALLY different. I was expecting a lemon base cake for the lemon cupcake and a strawberry base cake for the fresh strawberry cupcake.... Also, I came here for the gluten free and vegan cupcakes. They only had 2 gluten free options

Cupcakes: Moist texture but only on day of purchase, the next day already drying out, flavorful but not spectacular, strawberry icing was my favorite but other flavor icing was meh

Walked inside and said, OMG-the first thing you see is the cupcake case followed by the cookies. Yes? I finally raised my eyes up to the menu and ordered the Chicken Tarragon sandwich along with a slice of pumpkin bread and an Oatmeal cookie. The cookie was saved for my husband but OH MY, the sandwich and pumpkin bread was delicious!!!

You can’t go wrong with a little bird bakery treat! The mini cupcakes are our favorite(not pictured) I ordered the turkey salad with a side of pimento cheese. The crackers it comes with we’re addicting! I wish there were more. Not pictured was the tomato soup ordered, it’s dairy free so it has coconut milk in it. I personally didn’t like it.
The treats are where it’s at at this bakery! Next time I’ll stick to the chicken salad, always a hit.

Great afternoon spot. Expect a line, but it moves super quick. I also ordered the vegetarian California sandwich with a raspberry chipotle mayonnaise with added sweetness to the sandwich. I love to step away from the larger chain stores to enjoy something different. This has everything and more all in one stop.

The epitome of highland park dallas haha- white ladies in pastel complement the interior. I came here for takeout- the servers were attentive and quick. Read on here that the cake they make tends to be dry so I decided to try the lemon pound cake hoping for a better texture, chocolate chip cookies which looked the best on display, and a California Turkey. I also got a hibiscus tea lemonade which looked pretty but tasted strange. The sandwich was really great and fresh. The pound cake is very dense and lemony- like it was lightly soaked in tart lemon syrup-which I actually prefer to sweet/dry/vanilla
