Commonwealth Coffeehouse & Bakery

The beans are over roasted in the coffee they use. Coffee tastes burnt. Food was salty and greasy.
The atmosphere is great, but with so many other great options near by don’t waste $20 like I did.

I really wanted to give this place a chance being so close to campus. The first experience was fine, took like 45 minutes for a sandwich and my chai was bland but it was semi busy so I understand. But today really cemented me going elsewhere, I asked for two regular coffees, it tasted a little burnt and was pretty sour. Then when I stirred it around noticed the chunks of grounds. I just wanted plain coffee so there was no chance of screwing up but I was wrong. Bleh

Adam was wonderful. It was our first time to Commonwealth and we heard great things. Adam guided us through the menu and made great recommendations. Staff was beyond friendly and everyone that walked by talked to us. And... I Love the teal sofa!!! So cozy and inviting atmosphere.
We were out celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary and wanted to start our day with some great coffee. Adam made my spiced camel latte and it was delicious. Had the turkey sandwich with avocado and my husband had tomato soup. Only complaint was that my husband’s soup was not hot it was barely lukewarm. We will return

Very friendly place, coffee is a little on the sweet side. There are plenty outlets for laptop users. It’s across the street from what seems like a college so there are probably students here. The chocolate croissant is delish!

I’ve been to other common wealths and this one is terrible compared to the others. None of the bathrooms had toilet paper, there’s a dead cockroach on the floor, and the terrible is super sticky and hasn’t actually been cleaned. The place isn’t busy, but the employees are all talking in the back while all the tables are dirty and have used drinks and plates everywhere

Great experience! Very relaxing environment, I had the cappuccino and breakfast croissant, sat on the couch and they brought out their fancy china! Will definitely be coming back for more :)

Love that this is so close to my school and has great nondairy cappuccino! Definitely will be a frequent flyer here.

Cute little coffee shop that my wife and I had the pleasure of visiting while in San Antonio. We wanted to try something different than Starbucks. We had two cappuccinos, hers had almond milk. Both were really good. We split a Cubano sandwich and even though was not served in a traditional style bread it was really good and full of flavor. The coffee shop is well decorated and it was clean. Great place to grab some coffee.

Great spot for coffee, pastries, light breakfast, or lunch. Perfect spot to hang out or study. The prices are similar to Starbuck's but there's nothing I find similar aside from that. I much prefer the atmosphere at CommonWealth.
