Lovely, well-tended hotel, perfectly located in downtown Bucksport, and with a brilliant view of Fort Knox and the Verona Narrows Bridge (that sounds prosaic but it's a gorgeous bridge).
The walls and doors allow for a bit of noise but the excellent service and little details make up for it. The only real drawback is that the bathrooms are quite small. As a normal-sized adult male I found the walls close and the maneuver room limited but functional. A particularly large adult, or perhaps people with disabilities may find the bathrooms problematic.
Of note, the Fort Knox Inn is not pet friendly

Personally was on the pricier side for what was provided but I also went in July, which could be peak travel season. The inn is located right along the coast of the river, so it was a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning. Desk staff were always helpful. However, bathrooms were incredibly small and had poor ventilation, so just head's up for that.
