I have been employed with Familiar Surroundings for a
year. I can honestly say " I love my job. " This wonderful employer has provided me with loving clients, supportive and very kind co workers, and something that has taken on a new importance given the recent pandemic: Job Security. I am one of the lucky few who had a job to go to everyday in spite of Covid 19. I don't think there's much worse than having a loved one hurting in a city you are not in, and are not able to fully support.
In trying to get an adequate level of support for my mother, I spent a considerable amount of time researching and getting recommendations from a variety of organizations in Santa Cruz, Aptos and beyond. With other agencies, and I know well that my mother is no saint, I was regularly hearing complaints about "leaving the shift early," "not being able to do anything significant," and more.
I did not hear anything like this with Familiar Surroundings
