By using the most efficient technologies and sustainable practices in our industry, we can offer Oregon and Washington residents better service and better value for their scrap metal.
Services
R.S. Davis Recycling is proud to be a leader in the Northwest scrap metal industry. We're setting the standard for metal recycling, using the newest technologies and most sustainable practices. We recycle both ferrous metals (tin, steel, iron and vehicles) and non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass and stainless steel) at three Oregon locations.
The R.S. Davis Recycling story began in the mid-1960s when our founder, Richard Davis, first started hauling scrap metal throughout Oregon and Washington. He continued operating out of the Portland area as a metal recycler and portable scrap processor until the early 1980s. That's when recycling really became a household word.
You don't have to be a large manufacturer, construction company or demolition contractor to benefit from our recycling services. Any business or organization with scrap metal can recycle it for money: farms, thrift stores, school districts and more. R.S. Davis Recycling has commercial customers throughout Oregon and Washington.
If it's metal, chances are we can recycle it. See the list below for common scrap metal items we accept. With a reputation for honesty and integrity earned over 40 years in the Northwest, you can trust R.S. Davis Recycling to offer your business competitive price for your scrap metal. We now accept electronics as part of the "Oregon E-Cycles" program.
R.S. Davis Recycling purchases Catalytic Converters and Battery Scrap (Auto, Truck, Industrial) at all three of our locations. If you have a small quantity of Catalytic Converters or Battery Scrap, please bring them by one of our three facilities or call 503-655-5433 for more details. R.S. Davis Recycling provides prompt payment, accurate grading, and very competitive pricing on your Catalytic Converter and Battery Scrap.

Came up as a result of a search for 'appliance salvage' since I'm looking to replace the broken glass on my oven door, hoping to find an inexpensive used one. Called and was told by the woman who answered the phone they don't sell anything out of their yard, they only recycle. I said' that IS recycling'. She said they only buy, they don't sell anything. Confused, I asked how they make any money. She then got really rude, raised her voice and said they sell across the country but not to the public and rudely hung up. Terrible attitude. Not sure if it's company

I'm relatively new to the scrap game. I just know that I got a lot of junk around the house and I gotta get rid of it. I donate what I can do Goodwill, but other stuff simply isn't donation worthy (exercise equipment, for example, can be a liability issue for goodwill).

If I call places like 1-800-GOT-JUNK they charge a nominal fee or at least 100 bucks or so in order to haul away your stuff.

I had a couple old DirecTV antennas and some old weights that some old roommates had left at my house when they moved out.

So I broke down the antennas the best I could and loaded up my car

So how does that differ into only $21 doesn't make sense never coming back they owe me money because of their bad error

I had a washing machine, dryer and a water heater to scrap. It's Saturday of memorial day weekend. I checked the davis website, the website in green letters stated that they were open. I loaded up the scrap, drove the 35 miles one way to R S Davis and found the gate closed with another truck and trailer sitting in the drive way. He came in from Estacata to recycle a bunch of scrap metal. I called the phone number on the gate and got the message system. It said that in respect of the holiday weekend they would be closed Sat. Sun. and Monday. It's nice of them to have respect for

This is one of the most ridiculous, ripped off recycling center every. bought in 150lbs of metals/recycling materials and only got paid $2.33. I'd rather take it somewhere else before I do business with these guys. you should do the same.

It is funny. I had 300 pounds of cast iron weights and other steel poles and whatnot, you would think relatively worthless. Guess what it all wound up being $33 or so at 11 cents a pound. Kind of tough to find, it is behind the National Guard Armory out here in Southeast.

Might be worth your time.
