Carebear Preschool was founded in 2002 by Carrie Kuhns, who is a certified teacher. We are dedicated to providing innovative, quality education services that support and contribute to the success and wellbeing of our children and their families. We are committed to encouraging learning through fun, skill-based activities for children 2 to 5 years of age.
Our qualified, talented teachers structure daily activities designed for each child to learn at his or her own pace. Our teachers serve as examples to the children, who learn as much by observing others as they do by direct instruction. The teaching staff acts as a group of facilitators rather than directors of activities.

Services
Each day, children 2-5 years of age at Carebear Preschool receive an enriched learning experience as they participate in the following curriculum. Our classrooms are staffed by teachers who do more than guide and encourage your child; they provide tools that teach your child to think for him or herself with confidence.

As a parent of a former Carebear Preschool Student, I would like to thank the staff of Carebear Preschool for their incredible head start they gave to my son in regards to his education prosperity. My son since starting Kindergarten has not only the confidence to ask questions in class but also the thirst for learning that was cultivated at Carebear Preschool. Thank you all and keep up the good work!

This academic year (2013-2014) has gone so very well. The teachers my son has are attentive, respectful, fun-loving, and passionate about their jobs. The owner and staff are cheerful, talkative to the children, and very friendly. The curriculum cannot be beat and the friends my son has made are wonderful. My older son also attended CB and was above grade level in everything for kindergarten. He has had a fantastic experience in kinder, and I really credit CB for much of that. My younger son will continue with CB for summer camp and for pre-k starting in July. He is excited!

The teachers are amazing! They take each kid's individual needs into account and work with each kid as an individual. Mrs. Manjit in particular has helped my son, who has a speech delay, grow and develop. She has taught him as an individual and has helped him immensely. I would highly recommend her. The staff is friendly and knows the kids and parents by name. The owner is personable, is willing to work with and listen to the needs of the parents. I would highly recommend this place.

My son attended Carebear for 1 1/2 years and my daughter is just finishing her second year. All of the teachers we have had experience with are wonderful and helped my children develop academically and socially. Both children were well-prepared for Kindergarten by their teachers. The staff has been easy to work with and very helpful and flexible in working with our family's needs. I would highly recommend Carebear to any family.

"Please try this place for yourself..." is how my most recent post read regarding Carebear. However, significant changes recently took place. Some of the teachers quit Carebear - about 4-5 teachers. My understanding is that working conditions with the ownership reached a breaking point.
I know that with any issue the truth lies somewhere in the middle, however when such a high number of teachers resign at once it speaks to something seriously wrong at Carebear. This come after the issue of the Ocotillo branch closing - which left a really bad taste in many parents mouth - at least per the reviews
