Celeste Jewelers, a retail jewelry store in Livingston New Jersey, was established in 1971 and has been serving New Jersey residents with jewelry sales, jewelry appraisals, jewelry and watch repairs, diamond re-sets and one of a kind custom jewelry creations for over 40 years. Back to NJ after over 20 years in Las Vegas, we need d an honest jeweler. A referral by a close relative, we entrusted Celeste jewelers.
One- we were quoted $75 for a diamond ring prong repair.
Two- we got the ring back with a croaked diamond and a $100 charge.
Not happy but such is life!
Picked up the ring paid the increased fee to keep peace with the the old grouch and our in-law. At this point we were told he guarantees his work for life.
The prong loosened again oddly.
Returned it for repair, a week to wait.
Picked it up today and was charged again for $100 and was told I do not guarantee

This is most unprofessional jewelers that I have ever had to deal with. I needed a watch battery and after going to a number of jewelers who said they needed to send it out, I went to Celeste. When I called them, they told me it could be done in in the store, but when I went there, I was informed me that it needed to be sent out and would be ready in 3 days and would cost between $15-$20. Three weeks later, after numerous phone calls, I finally am told it is ready. When I pick it up, I am told it will cost $30. After complaining about the amount of time and cost, I paid and left. A true find! I'd highly recommend. A nice, local jeweler run by a lovely couple who truly seem to enjoy taking care of their customers. They were warm, welcoming, had lots to choose from, and I was never made to feel like I had to spend hedge-fund sums. I chose a necklace that had been designed and made by the owner, which my wife gets compliments on all the time. The experience was a pleasure. I'd send any friend there!

I purchased a diamond wedding band from Celeste Jewelers last year. I wanted to get another ring so I went to trade in the one I purchased from them. They wouldn't give me a penny for the ring that they sold me the year before. I ended up getting 1/3 the value of what I originally paid at another jeweler and was also told the stones were very low quality. Celeste misrepresented themselves when I purchased it and it showed when they wouldn't even look at it. I would never go there again!
