These charming little birds are created on the Island of Murano by Venice, Italy. Our artist painstakingly hand blows each bird using 2 tones of Murano glass canes and then covers them in gold leaf. Each little bird has its own unique expression. They are sold in sets of 8. Each bird is comes in a gift box and has a stamp of authenticity to show that it is indeed authentic Murano Glass.
This beautiful set is made of a traditional style called "Confetti Glass". It gets its name from the effect of the multi colored pieces of glass which are blown into the beads making it look like confetti. Our beads are infused with 24 kt gold. The vibrant colors of this multi colored glass will be sure to be a most popular style.
Alice Sturzinger came to New York from Switzerland in 1963. She single-handedly built up her company importing music boxes from Switzerland and distributing them to fine gift shops and jewelers. She has always had a love of the excellent quality of the craftsmansihp of her native country.

Intricately hand made Murano glass necklace is the shining example of fine craftsmanship from Venice, Italy. Please notice the detail of the individual beads. Some are infused with 24 kt gold. Others with silver. Some are beaded. At the end, our artist takes a thread of golden glass beads and weaves it through to create a true work of wearable art.
