I have to agree with the positive reviews about Sophie. I go to her for color and highlights, and there is nobody better, she is worth the money. Ladies, I am telling you if you hate your GRAY like I do, but want to save money GO TO SOPHIE. Because her highlights and color together are so good they are worth the money; In the long run you can go longer in between treatments.

This was the first new hairdresser I tried since moving to Ann Arbor and I’m so disappointed. I looked at reviews, booked ahead, provided notes, showed pictures and she talked me out of what I want led and instead of a balayage gave me simple highlights and low lights. Tools were mediocre, product mediocre, chair was awful. Sophie is a scam artist. Oh, and my cut and color was $300. Shame on you.

I came across her website looking for ' the best stylist in Ann Arbor' because I wanted my hair to look amazing! I was tired of being disappointed. Her studio was private and her energy vibrant and welcoming! I came in with no expectation other than to freshen up my color and get a good cut. She transformed my look with brilliant artsy! I meant to write this review a while ago. With that being said everyone needs to see Sophie to get their hair done! You will regret not giving her a chance. I had a horrible hair experience at a different salon. I went to her in hopes of making my hair look presentable. She went above and beyond that! I was impressed not only with how well my hair came out but just how amazing she is. Her salon is cute and perfect and I felt confident leaving the appointment. Do yourself a favor and go see her and support a local business!!

I let Sophie talk me into doing a keratin treatment instead of the Brazilian blowout that I wanted to have. This treatment left my hair feeling terrible! My ends are dry and brittle and no matter how many times I asked her to please be gentle with my hair she pulled and tugged and used intense heat on my hair. I am very disappointed and will never allow anyone to do that to my hair again. I went in there with healthy hair and now feel that it will take me months to get back to where I was.

Lies about what's in her products, lies about the results you'll get from her service, ruined my hair, still charged me!!! I'm outraged and so disappointed in going to go home and cry in my pillow! My sisters wedding is tomorrow and my hair is fried, a total different color than I asked for and this woman showed no remorse and offered to fix it and charge extra!! Sophie saved me! I was in MI last weekend for a wedding. I have balayage and I thought I can fix my roots last minute by myself. Long story shorty I ended up with black top of my head while the rest was Carmel blond/ brown. I looked desperately who would take me last minute on a Saturday couple hrs before the wedding. I was so afraid that this won't be fixable given my 2 hrs window. Sophie got me in at 12.30 and by 2:30 I was out and fixed my hair, I even like my hair now more than before.

I came in with no reservation on a Friday afternoon because most salons in Ann Arbor required an appointment, and Sophie took me in. I'm so glad she did because she's very good, friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable with hair and helped me pick a color that would be maintainable for someone who'd never dyed their hair before!
I got red-violet balayage and then decided to also get my bangs trimmed and get some layers. My mom has been my primary hair cutter and stylist throughout my life so this was a nice change-of-pace. I felt safe in Sophie's experienced hands and would recommend

The unprofessional behavior from this nail salon continues. Despite the fact that she claims "100% satisfaction guarantee," this is completely false. Sophie apparently calls every negative review "defamatory."

I came in to get bangs. That's all. It was impulsive, and honestly my only criteria was a salon that had an appointment open the next day and had good reviews. One of my friends also wanted a trim, so we booked appointments together. This place was absolutely wonderful. Our third friend that was with us was so impressed that she ended up deciding to get a haircut as well. Sophie is so sweet. I used a groupon for shellac, and when I took out a $20 bill to tip her and asked for change. She miraculously only had large bills. She walked across to a massage place to see if they had change, and came back empty handed. When I got tired of waiting and said never mind, she pocketed the $20 and said, "OK!"

One of the most challenging aspects of moving to a new town is finding a new hair stylist. After checking reviews, I decided to go visit with Sophie. Suffice it to say I was very happy with that decision. The salon is smart, clean, and well organized. Sophie is extremely professional, and there was lots of communication about my goals and what she was doing to help me get the look I needed (given the raw material available!). I left feeling really good about my hair and she did a great job. If you are looking for a stylist who is both personable and professional, you should definitely go
