Mental Health Europe's main mission is to ensure mental health remains on the European agenda and that people living with mental ill health and psychosocial disabilities can actively participate in and contribute to society. This can only happen through a good understanding of mental health at European and international level.
At Mental Health Europe, our understanding of mental health recognises that mental distress can be experienced by anyone and may be caused by a series of different factors and life events. Social policies can have an impact on people's mental health and that is why Mental Health Europe closely monitors and advocates for better European social policies.
