We're excited to announce that Palomar Solar and Roofing has been designated by Enphase as the only Platinum installer in San Diego County. It's an honor to have this designation and look forward to continuing our relationship with Enphase. However, a designation alone is not enough. I spent almost three years deciding to go solar. I always had Palomar in my mind during that time. I liked their approach and quality equipment. They also hide nothing from its customers by providing per panel monitoring that the customer has full access to. The customer can see what's going on in real time and collect their own data to figure out the best times to operate heavy use appliances. This company must pride itself on hiring salespeople who do not want your business. I reached out to the rep, explaining that we'd like to install solar as soon as possible. I gave him everything he needed directly after the call; drone shots of our roof, even our home inspection report which details the roof's age and materials. He said it would take a week to get my solar design back. When expressing my surprise for the lag time, he apathetically and almost arrogantly said they were really busy. For over 6 years, Palomar Solar has continued to deliver excellence! The initial install was perfect. Their savings projections / ROI were "spot-on". Our 2020 electric bill was $4.59 for the year. Nice! We like that we're able to see our panels' performance and monthly production. We just got a new internet router & Palomar notified us that our system was no longer reporting production. This company from top to bottom was flawless in their execution as soon as I decided to get Solar installed. They were able to have everything installed and cleaned up in less than 48hrs. I just had a 6.3DC kWh system installed with micro inverters which offer per panel monitoring . I interviewed a couple reputable local companies and though I thought both would do a good job I choose PS . I liked the way they offered the micro inverter technology upfront . Dealing with the sales dept: Adam & Sid , office : Celina , roofing: George and electrical: Jose & Anthony they were all professional, pleasant ,kept me well informed and completed the job prior to their estimate. Palomar Solar has been incredibly outstanding since our initial contact with them. Initially, we spoke with Erik Zetmeir, energy consultant, who evaluated our prior year energy use and then formulated a proposal based on our useage. While Palomar was obtaining the permits from the city, their customer service kept us informed of the progress. Once obtained, the installation crew was at our home within a week and installed 26 panels in two days. The process was fast, efficient and competitively priced. We bought a house in 2018 with preinstalled purchased Solar from SunRun, who was still responsible for servicing warranty issues. Side note: SUNRUN IS THE WORST!! I got so fed up with them after over a year of trying to get our system with dwindling performance working right (3 1/2 hour hold times, no calls back for messages left, service tickets closed without notifying me, at least a month to get an appointment if I got that far...I have unnecessarily spent over $1100 through August this year on electricity bills). After reviewing many of the reviews on here and other places and talking with folks who had solar installed recently, we decided on calling Palomar Solar and Roofing for a quote. The sales representative Bowie R. Could not have been any nicer or informative in determining the correct system for us. I was specific in what I did not want to see from the street; I did not want to see the panels and wanted as clean of installation as possible. I had a few questions along the way and Bowie returned my emails promptly even after hours.

With all the hype in the solar marketplace it was nice to do business with a firm that was very straightforward from the first meeting to the final signoff. Awesome experience with this company, start to finish. Sales patiently answered all our questions and gave us the all information we needed to make the right decision. I choose to have Palomar Solar install my 26 panels based on a recommendation from my friend’s neighbor who recently got their panels installed with them. I also made my decision based on their online reviews, BBB status, and the support of the local TV station. After my first phone contact with Tracy, I saw her in-house presentation in which we figured out the number and types of solar panel needed. Today, my panels are up on my roof. What is there not to say about Palomar Solar. We were the first years recipients of Palomar Solars give away at the Miramar Air Show. The owners and staff that work there are the definition of professionalism. Their dedication to supporting our military is amazing. Palomar installed my system 9 months ago. I had a great experience with the entire crew and owner. The system has worked flawlessly and I couldn't be happier. I waited to see how everything was working before I actually wrote a review of this company. I have called Palomar a couple of questions, they were always able to provide the answer right then and there. Best contractor I've ever dealt with.

Everything done by Palomar Solar was excellent. The installation and customer service was exceptional. The owner was on site daily to inspect and make changes as needed; great hands-on service.
