Somersault is an award-winning letterpress print and design studio with a focus on creating custom event invitations and brand identities for discriminating clients who desire a more tangible way to tell their story. Using old vintage presses from the 1930's and 1950's, ink and foil are debossed down into ultra thick, sumptuous paper creating a luxurious and tactile feel unlike anything digitally printed.

The machines may be vintage in nature, but the design is perfectly contemporary and together, this exquisite blend of old and new combined with thick, beautiful paper stocks, creates a piece worth holding onto. The studio began in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2011 and moved east to the historic town of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania in 2015.

About us Report

Together in July of 2011, they created a letterpress studio to escape the glossy, over-saturated industry they both grew up in - a place that allowed HER to start scribbling again, and HIM to get his hands dirty again. It was time for a slower pace + to embrace a more process-driven, artistic part of the industry: one that requires Time and Attention - two long forgotten terms in an industry now on speed.

This a wonderful shop! My partner loves writing hand written letters and Mitch took the time to show us some their custom work. He thought that they had a great selection and seemed that they would take the time to make a design that he would like. I look forward to working with them in the future.

Somersault is a must-visit. I've been making an effort to send cards to friends more frequently, so I always keep a few on hand. This shop was a gold mine of winners and the cards were a joy to read through--funny and very smart. Plus, the space is stunning. Really cool place.

I just want to say that I absolutely love this place! We had them do our wedding invitations which came out amazing. They are super easy to work with throughout the designing process. They also have the most creative cards in their store that are funny! I honestly can't say enough great things about this place !

I simply Love this place!! Sending cards and handwritten letters has become such a lost art. However, the cards are so funny! Small and blank inside making it easy to not a quick note. Owners are wonderful and I enjoy supporting them! It seems that I am always able to think of the perfect person to.send specific cards to.

This is place is awesome! As a graohic designer I felt inspired just by entering the store. The store itself is work of art. The owner was very cool and told us how they came up with the concept. Their cards are so funny but definitely not for everybody.
