Dr. Scher graduated from Brooklyn College in New York and graduated from New York University Dental School with honors. After dental school he attended NYU where he completed orthodontic training. Dr. Scher has been our orthodontist at Dental Care of Stamford for over 25 years. With four children of his own, he is great with kids.

You are never too old for straight teeth! Today, more and more of our patients are adults that are seeking to improve their smile, self-confidence and their dental health. Expectations > Reality
My orthodontist is very right oriented. His work doesn't seem even on both sides. I know I still need slight incisal correction but that's ok. He doesn't see it. I just got over it and waiting for my teeth to settle. He, in my opinion, is also rough and possibly chipped one of my tooth a little when he was removing the braces. The tooth feels sensitive here and there.

We've been patients for many, many years! My favorite dentist was a reason, but she left.
However, everyone is very accommodating and professional. Appointment reminders are serious and you'll NEVER miss one. Lots of updated tech in office for kids, snack and water (adults side) Front desk in all three office very pleasant and patient!

I love Dental Care Orthodontics they are kid and adult friendly , their staff are amazing. Very nice and understanding. They work out with your payments if your behind before assuming your not going to pay . They really are a great help i recommend this orthodontist office to everyone. I’m 25 years old and enjoy going to get my braces tightened or a change of color , they make sure your comfortable. They become more like a little family then just workers you have to talk to

We have been using Dental Care Kids for several years, and they are amazing, so we naturally decided on Dental Care Orthodontics when it came time for our daughter to start her treatment. Everyone is always smiling and making sure that we are comfortable. Our questions are always answered timely and efficiently, no matter by phone, email, or in person. Dr. Z and the rest of the staff have our daughter’s interests at heart, and genuinely want to give her the best smile and functionality that they can.
